Yes, it does. Also, It winds up and fires even if you have no target.
ZOS, please, at the very least allow us to cancel the attack by blocking!
@ZOS_GinaBruno
Now I am wondering if abilities even cancel the wind up. So I am assuming I could just hold the trigger for my bow and let it automatically fire heavy attacks while just pressing my ability buttons along with it.

The ability will cast once the HA is over, then go immediately into the next wind-up.
It's almost exactly the same as Flame staff HA.
Maybe because stacking a bow heavy from stealth along with your red mountain procs and snipe and landing 5 hits in 1 sec killing a guy outright is only fun for one of the involved parties.
If this is true, that is completely ***. But hey! At least all the anti animation cancelling folks will be happy! Whoopty doo!MisterBigglesworth wrote: »I tested it.
Blocking during the wind-up doesn't cancel the auto-fire.
Turning 180 degrees away from the target doesn't cancel the auto-fire. The arrow fires out of your back.
Not even pressing ESC stops the auto-fire.
That's right, once you start the heavy attack, you are locked in!
