From level 49 to level 50 and Champion ship points question

Hi all

Firstly, sorry if this has been asked before, but I seem to be in a bit of an awkward situation with one of my characters.

I currently have 2 characters, 1 is a stamplar bosmer who I level up to lvl 50 and CP80 and the other is a dunmer magicka DK who i leveled up to about lvl 30 when my bosmer was already at lvl 50 with around CP 70.

Currently my Dunmer DK is my crafter (maxing out woodwork and clothing skill lines) and have been slowly leveling him up along with crafting. Yesterday I hit level 50 and immediately went to CP 80 (since CP get shared between the characters i found out!). Now i just plane SUCK. I had to put most of my skill points (that I was saving) into improving the material I use so that i can use woodwork and clothing material at CP70-CP80. (which took almost all of my SP) just so i can attempt to craft me some better weapons and gear!

Further, in public normal dungeons I get killed instantly. Before I had 5 star rating for my gear with attributes of around 30K unbuffed magica and 18K unbuffed health. I was quite tanky and being a healer i was able to heal most dungeons, with ease. Now i die within 5 minutes of entering a normal dungeon and have been kicked before because of this.

My question is, what do people do in this situation? Should i just run around collecting woodwork and clothing material to craft better armor? Or do I just go through activity finder and hope that I end up in a good group so that I can farm for better armor and weapons that I need?

Sorry if this post got quite long. But please let me know what you have done if you have been in a similar situation!

Hi, so how scaling works now is if you out level your gear hugely it makes a big difference due to scaling, so yes if your gear is L30 and you are CP80 you will feel it.

Clear some zones of Skyshards, do the main quest, do the alliance quests per zone for easy SkillPoints. Join Cyrodiil and do the siege tutorial etc for another easy 2 SP and it won't be a problem.

Main goal is to get to CP160 then all gear matters as its basically end game / past the gear cap. 80-160 won't take long.

Don't worry about farming for sets before cp 160, just craft some relevant gear (relevant for magicka is Julianos and/or Seducer for example, for stamina Hunding's and Night Mother's Gaze) of your level and use food, you will be fine

Don't forget to enchant your armor too, aim for something about 17-20k health and put everything else into your main resource(magicka if you're a magicka build).

Battle leveling is significantly weaker after level 50 which is probably why you're running into issues now.

If you cannot craft what you need yet, ask someone, I've had complete strangers make me purple armor for free before.

Thanks for the replies @Beardimus and @Magdalina . So i guess ill just keep doing quests and farm skyshards until I hit CP160. I guess in the meantime, I will just collect crafting materials and just craft my gear as I level.

Im suprised how quickly i went from CP10 to CP 80!!
