Kill mobs you aggro, don't run trains through a zone...

That was hilarious in some games. I remember in some early MMO's you could aggro half the map and have a train stretching back for as far as you could see. And they would aggro on anyone who got in their way. That doesn't happen in modern MMOs like ESO with short leashes on mobs and anti-kiting mechanics. And the mobs don't aggro on anyone passing by so it's not really a concern.

Estate of Unrest in EQ. Train calls still make me shiver...

Welcome to Karnor's Castle, 100,000 trained and counting!

Why would you want to waste soul gems like that?

I have like 100 of them.

Why not? I haven't bought a soul gem since level 30.

    Whaaaat?!

I don't think I've ever bought a soul gem. And I believe one of my bankers has a couple of stacks. And I'll give them away in dungeons if communicative peeps need them.

My stamblade died a lot early on. I mean a lot. I get most of mine from bosses.... That I couldn't solo then, so I tried to keep a few on me.

    Lol

    Sorc lyfe bro.

Sure the people getting 'trained on' in EQ didn't find it as funny...

It's really not that hard to use common sense and to be more considerate of other people... It really isn't ;-)

Ya know after the 8th 50, it seems like a waste of time to kill everything on the way to that one skyshard youve visited 7 times before or that one public dungeon boss that you killed 7 times before. Just becomes a "do I want to waste more time doing this again or run in and get my point and move on with progressing my character?"

So yeah, I get it but I'm past that point in the game and its about finishing this character and doing what I made him to do instead of frolicking through dungeons playing with the stranglers.

So while you think damn that guy was rude, just think when you're on your 8th level 50 doing the same thing over and over (lets not forget we get to do main story again as well, and mage guild to level 10, and fighters guild to level 10, and undaunted - and i also max out all trade skills and getting enough skill points to do all that is time consuming as it is WITH skipping through delves), I'm sure you might understand, or maybe you wont ever get there because you prefer not to rush through things and enjoy the game 8 times over.

I look at characters as tools, I create them for a purpose and I want them to be ready for that purpose as soon as possible, I farm the gear prior and I create the build prior for VMA, trials, pvp or dungeon farming etc. He's not there to relive the wonderful wonderful mage guild book grind or main story. And yeah the monsters drop gold and such but my time can be better spent elsewhere for gold and such.

Luckily this isnt EQ, all it will cost you is a repair bill and skyshard, or just run behind me and enjoy the scenic skipping of the zone to your hassle-free skyshard.

When you are doing your 9th, 10th, 11th+ character and gathering skyshards, you too will be running trains through delves.

...although I will occasionally drop some caltrops or ground aoes of some kind along the way in order to send my trains back to their spots most of the time.

^^ Yup. I'm guilty of leading trains in dungeons but I'll also leave a variety of ground DoTs to help them reset/leash earlier.

More considerate, but still best to not train at all

Lol, I used to do this in Ultima Online Dungeons. Was easy to clear ppl out and kill weak dragon and nightmare sheppards. Collect their gold and items and run to the next.

I can't even run trains to save my life anyhow, I often try and ride through a zone as fast as possible only to have an enemy mage who I aggro'd strike my mount twice causing it to buck me off. By which point every other enemy in the surrounding area is after me and I have no choice but to take them all on.

Consider it a painful noob lesson learned :flushed::joy:

Of course the best reason to avoid it is just being more considerate of other people :-D
