Stuck in an "Error 303 - PatchError_UnzipFail", Repair, "ABORT: Invalid Memory Size (0)" loop

It keeps immediately saving the file as a "notepad" file this is so frustrating man
i am very sorry guys to those of you who see this as extremely easy.... if it downloads as a notepad file can the torrent i download still get the files??? 0 -

I am guessing this is kinda like downloading the game but just copying his file folder? i am little confused as to how this will bypass but FINGERS CROSSED!!!2

it is possible that is just file assosate as a notepad file but is still a torrent file, does the file end with .torrent (you might have to enable view file extenstion to check).
I would recommend you get a torrent software like qtorrent, utorrent etc then drag the file into the torrent software rather than trying to open it.

DaniGod, you are awesome. I am downloading now, and I have increased my upload rate to help out. I hope this works. I'll be busy most of this evening, but it would be great to come home and play the game that I purchased.0

The other option to get the files is to buy the game on steam, download it, transfer the files over to the default game folder and then refund your steam game. This has been confirmed to work by two people in this thread:

I am currently downloading on steam. I will update as to whether it worked for me when complete. This may download faster than the torrent mentioned by Dani, but thanks for giving us that option!0 -

I download it too now by utorrent, but why should I buy the game again on steam just do download it again and perhaps it will installing properly.

Yes I agree this is a sub-optimal workaround, but if you just refund your purchase through steam within the 2 day refund period you wont have to pay any more money. And I am getting 3.5Mb/s download speeds which will be much better than the torrent0 -

Can officially confirm downloading through steam and transferring the files to the file path where you installed the game does work! Back to playing the game0

I see that most of posters had this issue while they tried to download the game. And, as I understand, they fixed it by downloading a torrent (thanks to user who solved this problem). But is anyone here who can't download new patch and have the same error? We need to download game once more or wait for ZoS answer?
P.S. I'm afraid I'll be kick from my trading guilds

thorntk421✭✭✭I had the same problem last fall when I was thinking about getting back into the game after a year. After 2 days of fiddling with it I gave up. Was going to start playing again for Morrowind, and what do you know 6mo later still having the same problem when I try to download the game. 1. Download ESO Launcher via ESO Accounts website
2. Download Steam via Steam website
3. Purchase ESO $29.99 through Steam
4. Install ESO through Steam
5. After Download-->Right Click ESO in Steam Games Library and click Properties --> Show Game in Local Files
6. Drag and REPLACE "The Elder Scrolls Online " Folder from Steam Local Files into "Zenimax Online" Folder from ESO Launcher
7. Launch the ESO Launcher and it will self-patch
8. Refund ESO from Steam and Uninstall Steam

They need to fix this for there new players and existing players who get new computer etc. They claim everyday on social media to come and join the fight and adventure but yet is a complete laugh considering they cannot download the game after purchase. ZOS hopefully see that this is only hurting there already rocky reputation. Whether steam will refund it or not that isn't acceptaple for some people. Just curious if you have gold edition and download the regular through steam will that affect you? I'm still new to eso so idk if gold is even considered a thing now since subscriptions exist.0

Just tried, still getting Error 303.
Edit: To add to that, if I try to repair after getting the error I get a popup error:
Internal error...
