Well, here's what you do:This is my fourth time asking for it on the forums and I'll not stop until I hear some news about it.
- Find a nice area, serene, and to your liking.
- Have a mage place a frost spell on you to last about 400 or so years.
- Awaken, then head to the nearest Mages Guild to start spell crafting.
Either that, or install Oblivion.
Whichever is easier.

✭✭✭✭✭I can't see "spellcrafting" (in any sense that would satisfy people) ever being in an MMO. It seems like a massive invitation to min/maxing, abuse, un-balanced powers, etc.5 -

✭✭✭✭✭See an obvious issue balancing it.
Even if so simple as setting duration and damage to spells who give an resulting cost you will have obvious balance issues.
PvP you want high damage spells you can spam for maximum burn trough damage, for ultimate ganking have the first have long casting time and extra damage,
PvE you want long lasting DoT who would be cheap in dps / cost and don't take up many ticks, put 4 on the overload bar and cast with surge every 30 seconds.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.1 -

✭✭✭Spellcrafting was also in TES3:Morrowind also, not just Oblivion.

Lol jesus the game is almost four years old. There has been no real game enhancments cp is a travesty of alternate advamcment. And the best Zos could come up with for 40 bucks is a big new solo area 1 class and 2 instanced pvp arenas. Beyond that it's practically a waste of time to ask in the forums. If you want the answer you will listen/read Zos releases because that's where they'll release information.
Oh, and spellcrafting will likely not be added as part of a dlc based on the "skill lines" Zos has added in DLCs previously.

✭✭✭well, the developer who was in charge of spellcrafting, Konkle was his name if I remember correctly, has left ZOS maybe a year ago, so I guess it was not cancelled, but only put aside for "later maybe"
but as people replied here, balancing the actual skill is hard for ZOS, so adding new skills would be even harder to balance
but yes, I would love to see it in the game too

It's been barely 3 years and there is also a shiney new trial coming as well. Actually a pretty good expansion, outside of the controversial sustain changes, but that will be ok.

I don't really see anyone really against the spellcrafting. It's just a reality it's not a priority for Zos ATM, and for awhile. The earliest we can expect it is a year from now.

Sure thing. I still see no reason OP shouldn't continue showing his interest on this subject everyonce in a while, devs or not, we're still people and people tend to get motivated by on going topics, especially ones that are a favored one.
