Battlegrounds for pros, Cyrodiil for noobs?

Will battlegrounds be noob slaughter? Nowhere to hide, just undressed, right? So will this be the "Counter-strike" of ESO, or will the pros find the whole new DLC so boring that they don't show up?

vMaick✭✭✭Imo everything competitive slowly toxicates a community and turns it into cancer. People get butthurt, frustrated, annoyed, and its the internet so why would they keep it to themselves. Lets just insult other people! It just creates so much hate for no reason really.
Even streamers and big youtubers get hit by this. You barely see them laugh or having fun. "Omg this game" "this is broken" "*** this dude" "*** ***" are things you'll hear all the time.
If battlegrounds are where the "good" players go, so be it. Imma have some oldschool fun with the noobs in cyrodiil:)21 -

Hopefully not, but hey Vet Trials and Dungeons are becoming wastelands ( I mean guilds are still doing them but the pug scene is dying) so will Battlegrounds, the raid/dungeon community is tiny in ESO and the game still does very well, because ESO was never meant to be a hamster wheel raid or die MMO.0 -

This is so said, because competition is healthy... honestly to many people have never been taught how to lose... its only magnified by the void of the internet.9 -
ChaosWotan✭✭✭✭✭I play mostly pvp myself, and enjoy trials and dungeons, but I still support that ESO should be more about rpg than competitions, because I've seen how easily my own mind has become hijacked by narrow and competitive goal-seeking, including grinding for BiS, to the point where I have lost much of the fun of enjoying rpg. Recommend newbies not to fall in that trap. But easier said than done...2

Eshelmen✭✭✭✭✭What we can't assume is how battlegrounds is at launch, is how it will always be.
I think we can make an estimation, but an estimation is really all we can do. Same goes for ZOS. Nobody knows if hordes of people are going to play BG in a year from now, and nobody knows if only elites will be playing it too. In Cyrodiil one can become Grand Overlord just by pvdooring. And one can hide in the zergs. Not so in Battlegrounds.

By noobs I mean all those with (below) average skills, even when they have BiS and max CP. Will scaling prevent slaughter of average players?0 -

Have played with subhuman in 2015, and after a year pause I now lead pugs in EU Azura, shamelessly pvdooring for ap, since I want Legate black dye, and bored of Cyrodiil after no real changes there in 3 years. But don't remember you, prb because you are in TF, right?

fastolfv_ESO✭✭✭✭✭battlegrounds will be where the frustrated people who dislike grp pvp go, it will be a small % of players who cannot function in a regular pvp setting putting themselves on a pedestal, basically every guy whos messaged you going "1v1 me bro!" cause your grp killed his and he cannot cope. Expect every toxic setup pvp has to offer with a mass of infinite dodge rollers, honestly if regular people do bgs it would be a fun experience but expect it to degrade quickly7 -
