How often can you used a synergy?

I had thought it was 10 secs, but used 3 in less 10 secs. One was shards, lighting lighting and other was nova. Is there a cooldown for synergies usage?

You can use as many different types of synergy in row as you can press, but you cannot activate the same synergy more than once every 20s

Edit so: orbs, purify, liquid lightning, shackle, shards, bone shield, gravity crush etc all one after another
But if you hit a luminous shards synergy you must wait 20s before you can pick up more luminous shards

Edit2: iirc on live the different morphs of shards have different named synergies and both have individual cooldows, ie you can pickup a blazing spear synergy followed by a luminous
Although the energy and mystic orbs do not follow the same rule

That's disappointing had me thinking energy orb and mystic orbs used. I suppose it makes sense but the potential
