Will those who pre-ordered the game receive their pre-order bonus on May 22 or June 6? (This question is for PC and digital version)

Thank you.

We should get it with the early access however now that you mention it nothing official has been said about it. I comment just in case someone replies and knows it for sure, as I would also like to know.

Yeah, that's my assumption as well. With the original launch, most players in early access got their bonuses up front. Though, if you ordered a physical copy, you might not get any access at all until the 6th.

No, I had pre-ordered the digital version of Morrowind DLC but I guess we will find out soon enough...

They did say that you will get the bonuses when you put the code in on launch day or when you get your actual copy of the game

I'm assuming the pre-order bonuses are tied to the digital key, so I'd expect to get all bonuses from a digital copy of the expansion. Physical copies obviously have their own keys in the box, so you'd probably have to wait until you have that in your hands before you can input that key and get your bonuses. That being said, it's possible the early access might give you the preorder bonuses, but since the early access given to physical collector's edition preorders are effectively temporary keys, you'd still have to put in your own key to keep them.

Right, well the digital versions are tied to a key. Early Access is simply giving you access to your purchase early. I fully expect all bonuses and items to be given on the 22nd.

In the thread for physical collectors edition, it was stated those folks would receive their preorder bonuses when they applied their actual key... So I'd say it's safe to assume digital will receive their bonuses May 22 since it wasn't mentioned they would not (but was mentioned physical edition wouldn't get them right away)

What digital key? I didn't get a digital key with my pre-order of the digital upgrade.... and there was no mention of the need for one. I've just double checked my account and the receipt email: no digital key.

@ProfesseurFreder if you bought it from them (Zos)... It would be automatically applied to your account. No need it enter a key.

It's till tied to a key, you just don't receive it. But internally, purchases will be referred to by a unique identifier - i.e. your key.

Thank you to MissBizz for clearing my question up!

And to WarMasterCyp, if you read her comment I believe she cleared your question up as well. A forum thread is a conversation, you can't control the branching directions that may take, frustrating as that may be.

And to ArchMikem, think of the good folks who create this great game for us as producers, writers and actors in a vast pley. They are about to open a new production, and they deserve a Dress Rehearsal. PC/Mac has been chosen as the place for that Dress Rehearsal -- it's not about giving us Special Treatment. Because when it launches on consoles, they really don't want to get it wrong.

My question is and I repeat " When will we receive the pre-order discovery pack May 22 or June 6" and its on June 6 cause I have found it in another thread.

Do you people ever read the question before posting or just randomly say stuff?!

You seem like a major control freak. You can't control what people say. If someone quotes me, paraphrases me and/or asks a question, I'm going to reply. Just deal with it. No need to get bent out of shape.

I would like to see the link stating June 6th... because as far as I know, having purchased the Digitial Collectors Upgrade through ZOS, everything was automatically applied to my account and will be available as soon as I log in after the update on May 22nd.

There is zero pre-order bonus for anything other than the more limited standard or morrowind upgrade packs.

The collectors, digital collector's edition, or digital CE upgrade are all the same whether pre-ordered or bought months after release.

So I'll be waiting with cancelled ESO sub to see how things shake out. Not quitting or some extreme position - just cancel ESO to show ZOS in only form of voting that matters (with your wallet) and then keep playing non-sub ESO and observe how the inevitable new nerfs, buffs, nerfs, buffs, rebalancing after the first several months goes.

As there is no pre-order bonuses for the package I'd buy (Digital CE upgrade), no harm at all in just waiting for the inevitable series of rebalancing that is sure to happen, then see if worth it to keep paying.

Preorder includes a Dwarven Crown Crate, The Warden Costume, the Dwarven Armored War Dog, some treasure maps that (if they're anything like the original explorer pack maps) are utterly worthless, and some XP boosting scrolls that will sit in your bank until the servers go dark, if you're anything like me, and tend to hoard stuff for "just the right moment."

So, if you're collecting hero costumes... then, yeah, there's a reason to preorder. You'll probably find preorder loaded copies on store shelves after it's out in retail, but I honestly don't know how that worked with the original boxed copies.

Think of the Discovery Pack code like an order where you mix in-stock and preorder items and the retailer doesn't ship until all items are available.

The issue is the crate. Dwarven won't be "in stock" until Wild Hunt ends, and we'll likely see a countdown timer on Wild Hunt sometime this week. That's your countdown to Discovery Pack availability on the server.

PC Early Access is granted with your retail game code, not the Discovery Pack bonus code. So you will receive Collector's Edition items on 5/22.

    Basically:

5/22: Armored War Horse, Morag Tong Converter, Dwarven Spider Pet, Warden Grey Bear, CE Character Emotes
6/6: Warden Costume, Dwarven War Dog Pet, Treasure Map, Dwarven Crate, Experience Scrolls

Am I missing some subtlety in your reply? What you said is in my quote, which you used.

There is no pre-order bonus for anything other than the more limited standard or morrowind upgrade packs. 2 of the 5.

The CE, digital CE, and digital CE upgrade versions have same features whether you pre-order or get a year later. The two more limited versions, the standard and morrowind upgrade provides a nice mix of misc items as a pre-order benefit but those are the only ones.

Whether someone is into those things, or considers it worth it is of course their opinion, and fair enough. I was merely pointing out that for the majority of purchase versions available (3 of 5), and what seems will be pretty popular choices (the digital CE versions), there is zero pre-order bonus so doesn't matter when you get it.

And if it doesn't matter when you get it in terms of bonuses, might as well get it after launch to see how things settle down. Good or bad, how some things will change, be nerfed, buffed, etc, --- I don't pretend to know. But I do know we will have the inevitable post launch re-balancing, tweaks, whatever you want to call them.

As there is nothing I will lose in terms of pre-order, no harm in waiting. Nothing wrong with wanting to instant Morrowind start either, but personally as there is no pre-order bonuses for my game versions, no point pre-ordering.

No, he's correct. So long as the Collector's Edition is available for purchase, it will automatically include the Discovery Pack.
We just haven't received indication yet on how long after launch the CE will be offered.

No, just that ZOS has a slightly more bonkers idea of what a preorder bonus is than I thought. Also, when you look at both the main store page and on steam, it actually splits those five bonuses off (well, Steam doesn't even think they exist). So, no, that's on me. As far as I can tell, you need to actually look at the FAQ @Acrolas, posted to learn those are permanent bonuses for CE owners.
