Morrowind Weapon Traits

With the changes to CP, and the shift away from heavy armour, is anyone else switching away from sharpened weapons from a PVP standpoint? Seen an interesting video saying that sharpened will most likely be over penetrating and therefore other traits will be more beneficial.

Personally i really hope this is true since we can start to have more diversity with weapon traits and sharpened isn't BIS.

What do you guys think coming from a strictly pvp point of view?

Edit: Personally i will be trying precise maelstrom maul, since ill still get max pen and also increased crit chance.

Edit #2: It looks to me as if you're running major fracture then precise may be better, if you're not running major fracture then sharpened may still be the way to go. In non-CP, sharpened will still be #1.

The front loading of CP means it will be easier to get more penetration there, which could off-set the need for it on a weapon to some degree.

In no-CP In not expecting much of a change.

Very unlikely. Need about 15-20k pen without sharp for that to be the case

5280 major fracture, 2h passive 20% ignore physical resistance, plus front loading CP into penetration gets you easily at 15-20k pen which all medium armour builds will sit around. Maelstrom precise Maul will be my go to.

Edit: Even if i don't run major fracture id run sharpened weapon and then another DPS (Venom claw as I'm a DK). Even then without major fracture and the new CP tree one would still become close to the cap.
