I began ESO with the early launch and played 1-50 like a single player game with no addons as a Stamina NB. Back then, VR content was MUCH more challenging than it is now. It was severely nerfed months after launch.
When I first experienced VR content, it destroyed me. I sort of raged about it at first. I sent nasty feedback.
But then I realized that I didn't at all know how to play ESO. So I learned to play, loved VR content after and was sad to see it nerfed.

Most recently, though, I caused a full group wipe in a normal Sanctum farming run. I still have roll dodging left on the default option (double tap to roll), and sometimes the game thinks I'm roll dodging when I've only been holding down the key to move. That happened in that Sanctum run, and I rolled straight into one of the holes while we were looting the side rooms. Already an awkward mistake... But it gets worse. For whatever reason, I was stuck in combat, even though we weren't fighting anything. So there I was, the only tank in the group stuck dead at the bottom of a pit. Somebody in the group -and I can't remember who- suggested that *everybody* follow me down, since, y'know, everybody dying ought to reset combat... Right?
Apparently not. I watched helplessly as the entire group threw themselves down into the pit with me. I was crying with laughter, especially when we realized that we were now all stuck in combat and unable to resurrect. This happened a month or two ago, so I can't quite remember how the issue was solved. Either somebody relogged and was able to res, or some of us left the group while others remained to keep the instance going.
I now refer to that as the "Lemming Incident."
Thinking that food (long term effect) stacked with drinks (short term buff). Took a while to realise that the drink replaced the food effect...
Then didn't use potions because I thought they were a form of drink....
Still have a tendency to forget to take a potion in good time....
Oh and not knowing how quick slots worked.
Found out this then I doing writs on bank alts during the anniversary eventJazbay_Grape wrote: »Well, I've been playing for over a year and I still have noob moments. I just spent a few hours looking through guild traders for some drink recipe I needed to compete a writ before I realized that it could be purchased from one of those brewer people. So ... yep.
These are all great and entertaining stories. Thanks for sharing. The sad part is that this is a huge and glaring testament to how bad the game is at explaining even the most basic things.

Not realising you can't eat AND drink at the same time for quite a while.
Finally being brave enough to venture to Cyrodiil on my mage & then not knowing how to leave so willingly hurled myself at the enemy so I could get out of there.
Making a Khajiit hybrid nightblade in heavy armour for my main. But got him to VR16 and still love playing him even now. He's lovely and has all my achievements. (Does this mean I will be an expert when the Morrowind changes drop, as I know all about managing sustain issues by frantically using heavy attacks?!
