How many digits/characters can a character name have?

Curious as to how long (in characters/letters/digits/etc.) a character's name can be at the most? 15? 20? I'm at work and even if I was at home, I'm maxed out on characters, so I can't make a new one. Can someone answer this question? Thanks in advance.

✭✭✭✭✭I did not count it, but one person I was chatting with in chat had a name so long I had to resize my chat window. Otherwise, I could not see what I was typing. ✭✭✭✭✭25 characters maximum, and that's including spaces and special characters.
The other rules are:- 3 characters minimum.
- Cannot start with a space.
- Must end with a letter.
- No more than 2 of the same letter in a row.
- No numbers.
- No adjacent punctuation characters.
- Four hyphens, apostrophes or spaces maximum.

I have that same issue with a guildie. I believe his name is the full 25 chars.0 -
