6000 crowns (4 moths of subscription) for motif which is cheap as hell in guild stores and useless as long there won't be gear restyling option.
They are rising prices over and over. I think in the future all crown store items will be so expensive, that nobody will buy them anymore. I still remember when I started playing this game and crown store items had really nice prices. Now it's just ridiculous.
Selling the same old and overpriced sh*t all the time. Good job ZOS.

It's a useless item for a stupid price. Sign of bad marketing? Sure. Sign of "moral bankruptcy"? Wat.
Ignore it, it'll go away, and their marketers will have a good data point for "well, that didn't work."

You know, I'm getting pretty sick and tired of seeing this as the instant go-to knee jerk reply to things like this.stop being greedy ZOS!!

Even if crafting was cranked up to what you'd want it to be and more, would you actually pay 6k crowns for a motif that you can get very cheaply in-game?
I'm pretty sure ZOS relies on people who don't know current prices or even how to use guild traders to sell their motifs.
@andreasranasen well here you go, I agree with that.andreasranasen wrote: »That depends, if they're making sales regardless of how easy things are to get. Is it really dumb to cash in on peoples ignorance?andreasranasen wrote: »Clearly ZOS never played their own game
Not only can you have all the motif pages in a couple of trial runs. You can buy the pages for 2-4K/each.
Like how dumb is this company really
Immoral maybe, but dumb, no.
Boy I need you to agree with me sometimes lol!
I think they would most likely double their profit if they cut that price in half.

Their pricing has for a long time been stupid and they rely too much on the deep pockets impulse buyers rather than multiple sales to less fortunate players.

I think that some people are missing the point. They are not looking to sell mass numbers of these items. Seriously. If they wanted to sell to the "less fortunate players" these items would be priced that way. They have had plenty of experience with pricing in the Crown Store over the last two years. It is not that they are "stupid", or "dumb", or out of touch with the players. Not at all. These things are priced exactly where they want them to be, and they are fully aware that not everyone is going to be buying.

As long as people buy at the price asked, it will keep increasing. This one may have found that limit though. This one is kinda stupid. Now if it was "Ra Gada", or "Akaviri" that would be of value.

You need Ra Gada?? Probably the easiest of ALL the motifs in the game to farm. Skyreach Catacombs chest has a big chance to drop (as do all the bosses in there). When running people through that to help them level I would get a motif every other run
It's not worth 6k... and Akaviri isn't tough anymore either. AP is fairly easy to farm
Maybe the price is a deterrent and they actually want people to earn the Motifs in game. You will notice the huge price difference between the ones that can be earned in game such as this, and the ones that cannot such as Stalhrim Frostcaster.

Maybe you are right. But they are a company and want to get more money. What will be the benefit for such deterrent? Making in-game gold move from player to player by buying/selling the motif parts? How such actions makes me gain more real world money?
I personally like it, when I see those overpriced items in crown store I'm happy that I got some of them without any crowns but by playing game. Leave them where they are and don't complain, please. Don't buy if you don't want to. These overpriced items play a significant role in the game, at least for me, I like to watch expensive stuff from distance when they stay out of my reach. And if someone buys it, mind your own business.
