Will I need 2 or 3 new character slots for warden?

As someone who currently has a mag and stam version of each current class, I'm just curious if I'll need only 2 for warden, or with the differing skill lines will I need 3?

Or, worst case will there be 6 ways to play the class.... Mag heal/dps/tank and Stam heal/dps/tank?

Just trying to make sure I have enough slots available by launch.

Thanks

The slots depend how many ways you want to play.

Each class (including Warden) in theory requires four slots.
    • Magicka DPS
    • Stamina DPS
    • Tank
    • Healer
The only way you're going to need to know how many slots you want for the Warden is to know how many roles you want to have filled by Warden classes.

    For me I need 3.
    1 for Stamina (PvE)
    1 for Magicka (PvE)
1 for PvP ( Not sure about stamina or magicka yet)

Naw, 2 is plenty, one magicka focus, one stamina focused. As to roles you can just re-allocate attributes, champion points, and change gear to fill any of the 3 roles. Obviously for things like vet dungeons you can just swap gear around a DPS build. For other group content you might have to do a quick reallocation.

thats sort of the way i've been doing it.

But after reading about the differeing skill paths for warden, I wasn't sure if this was a change from the way the other classes were set up.

1 is perfectly fine IMO. Just pick a race based on the playstyle you will probably use most. The gold sink plus 20 minutes to respec once in a while is better than wasting time leveling and grinding rep/books on 3 different characters.

Don't forget Health Warden and Hybrid Warden. Might as well just clear your whole account to make room.

Sure, there are some abilities that are useful for tanking or healing and have a morph that might favor more of a dps setup but anything that is very good for tanking or healing isn't going to be necessary in a dps build. Usually the way they design a lot of the magicka/magicka morphs is that one that is more focused on PVE and the other has PVP applications, the stamina/magicka morphs are based more along optimizing attribute allocation.

    6. Male and female versions. 18 if you want to have male and female of all three factions.

I am going for two stam and mag for solo but eyeing deleting another for a tank/healer option.

I'm going to start a new one, magicka based with pets, to play through Morrowind and finish all the quests. Once this one is leveled up to 50, I'll make a stamina build as well. Both will be for DPS.

I reckon you could go with as many characters as you'd like, if you have the room for them. You got plenty of options, like tanks, healers, bow weilding wood elves if you don't care much about end game content and you just want to roleplay the warden, etc.

Does anyone know yet where the startup will be for this class? Same 3 original zones, or since you have to have morrowind to play this game, will the class start there and start the mw quest line?

Didn't know if that was part of the beta or not?

Personally I would say... you may need 3.

One per alliance to make your warden for!
(which might make it one stamina dps in medium armor, one magica support/healer in light armor, and one tank in heavy armor that might be either)

But you may get only two for starters, so... ah, we shall see, won't we?
