Did ZOS stick Gina in the game??

So I was doing the Morrowind prelude-quest and I noticed that the Breton Azura cultist used words like "soon" (several times actually) and kind of even looked like Gina. Let me know if I am reading too much into this, I do think that ZOS did place her in the game to give us some news and say the "s-word" (a.k.a. "soon.")

As I recall they aren't allowed. They can make sound effects but not voiceovers. Something to do with some guild that does them.

Yeah, SAG-AFTRA's policy is basically "if you use non-union talent, we won't let you use union talent."

So a union exists that won't let you use regular people's voices?

That's basically the point of any union, to protect its members.

I don't know how SAG specifically works but generally, you cannot give union jobs to non-members (this depends by state as some have "right-to-work-for-less" laws). This is no different than what the UAW, NFLPA, MLBPA, NBAPA, SEUI, AFL-CIO etc. do for their respective members. Each union will have specific language in their contracts about doing this.

They put a bard in voiced by a popular cover artist.

I doubt it's screen actors guild.

Blizzard uses in house voice acting a *lot*. Metzen particularly.... Though he retired recently.

Exploitation is a two-way street. Sure, it is good to have them to protect the workers from real, predatory business practices but that right there is too far. There's no unions in my state so that just... it's an eye-opener.

Are you sure? Because in Borderlands Tiny Tina was voiced by one of the writer's sisters, and one of the developers himself (Randy Pitchford) voices Crazy Earl. Another writer and creative director (Michael Neumann) voices Scooter, where others (Like Mordecai) are voiced by professional voice actors.

IDK, Rhea (that's the chars name) looks like a generic Breton female and Gina has a rather recognizable face, so I see no similarities between them. Would be fun tho ;-)

I know Blizzard uses both union and Non Union talent, plus a crap ton of employees. I had a friend that word on a temp sound project for then when D3 was in development and he recorded some of the incidental voices himself.....I don't see ZoS being any different.
