These "balance" changes aren't actually balanced

"Balancing" is fine, except for when it's one-sided. This is especially true for PvE.

Currently, in live, vMA is hard enough as is, vMoL even worse due to coordination. All the vet trials are pretty challenging, and vHRC HM, vAA HM, and vMoL HM are still out of most player's hands. Stamina is pretty much non-existent, and people consciously make racial choices not based on what they want to play but how much damage they want to deal. In live, "balance" is pretty much stacked in favor of the "E" in PvE.

Why, then, did stamina receive much more of a nerf than magicka did? What's with this complete removal of sustain and therefore dps? What's with this huge shift of focus to clunky heavy attacks? I understand that it's for "balancing" purposes, but it's such a drastic change with absolutely no change to the rest of the game's content. ZOS, you completely nerf the "P" in PvE, yet leave "E" untouched? Where's the balance in that? Completing vMA in the PTS is now such a pain in the arse that even the best of the end-game raiders don't want other people to suffer through it. Heavy attacks flood all content. It's all an annoying crapfest of boring "hold your mouse button down and hope for the best because if you press any key from 1-5 you run out of resources".

See, here's the thing: we'll adapt. We'll get used to it.
But we won't like it.

    it's not balance, they don't care, they are pushing it forward and even accelerate its arrival time to 5/22.
    it is what it is. and it's here to stay.
    i wish it were not this way and so does everyone else on this forum who is not a sorcerer. but there is nothing we can do about it.

    I think from their standpoint is to choose.
    1) max attack with heavy atk build
    2) easier sustain (note I didn't say infinite) with maybe 75% lesser dmg than 1.
    I agree with their direction. But they went a little too far when even with sustain sets you still can't sustain.

    Either way it's happening. It makes the game harder yes. We just have to adjust to it. Treat it as a new game where end game trials will be the hardest *** of the game . I mean it's designed not to let any Tom *** or Harry to clear everyday. I've seen many games like this where the lower content of pve becomes irrelevant. Since you one shot almost everything with high-end end game gears.

    Would you rather they kept things the same and increased boss stats by 1.5x? It's the same thing to me.

    To me.. this is sort of a fix to animation cancelling. U can master it but eventually run out of resources and have to heavy attack.

    Zerg needs to be fixed . Maybe in group PvP situations.. having more than 5 players attack you in the last 5 or 10s could give a buff that halves damage taken?

    Could be done in a form of a set or just a PvP buff. Or scroll buff.. idk I don't PvP lol

    Magicka builds at endgame ALWAYS out competes stamina builds.
    Biased gear/abilities galore/preemptive strike from range/spell penetration

    Stamina builds are mainly melee, yet still receive very heavy nerfs; it is unlikely your melee weapon could outcompete staves.

    I am a sorcerer. And I'm also against these changes.

    Everyone is affected. Everyone is forced into "press Left Mouse Button and yawn". Okay, maybe I'll do more DPS with pressing Left Mouse Button and yawning than you, but that still doesn't make it fun. It doesn't make it okay and we, Sorcerers, are in the same boat. The boat of boredom and regress.

    Don't hate us :( We are with you.

    P. S. Also, how in the world everything goes down but not the mainest offender "Volatile Familiar + Daedric Prey" is beyond me. I may be Sorcerer. But I'm neither blind nor biased :)
