PC to PS4?

Hi all, I've been a way for quite a wile, got busy with school, work, life in general, but I started playing again last week with my old characters and was wondering, when the new Morrowind game comes out, I'd like to get it for my PS4, but my current game is on my PC. Will my current characters be able to be ported over for use on the PS4? Or, if I bought the PS4 version of the regular ESO, would my existing characters and progress, work for that? It's just way more convenient to play on the PS4, the PC is going to be moved to another part of my house that doesn't have a wired network connection yet.

I've never switched platforms for any game before and would like to pre-order Morrowind, but want to make sure that I can continue with my progress, before I decide which one to order.

Thanks!!

First things first, do you actually want to switch? Or just because you don't have a wired connection for your computer in the new area? Would you be able to set up a WiFi with your computer and just place the router where it is connected?

You've got the bonus of addons and what not with PC, which is probably the biggest downside to console.

Why the hell would you want to switch from PC to Console? If you use addons, they are not available for console. ESO plays fine over WiFi Just get a 802.11n or 802.11ac USB adapter for $20 and play via wifi.

Oh, and to answer your original question, no. You can't transfer characters between PC and Console. (Maybe Xbox to PS4 is possible since they're both "console"?)

Honestly, console is more fun to me because you don't have add-ons. (Just speaking for this game - not others)

There shouldn't be an option where it tells you to roll, block, dodge, cleanse - all kinds of hand holding add-ons that you can get on PC.

I'm happy for buff timers but that's all you should need.

That's just me though. Obviously PC is much better in other regards like mods for different games and community created content that keeps the game alive for longer than it would be on console (example Morrowind - Oblivion - Skyrim have so much that console players can't access.)

Progress and characters as well as purchases and content are separate and no new methods to transfer are available
    -PC (PTS)/Xbox One: NewBlacksmurf

Im a pc that went ps4 and i can easily say 90%of the issues complained about on forums dont happen on ps4. Also much more relaxed in my recliner on my 4k 70" less carpal tunnel less hardware software compatibility issues and if the bug i have is discovered almost every one else will have same issue so less time trouble shooting with zos on why the game doesnt work. Sure no pts or addons but dont need them to function anyway

I can do the same thing with a laptop, HDMI connector and wireless xbox360 controller.

I use addons to track what motifs and research traits all my characters know, swap gear sets so I can easily go from soloing to group/trial content without taking forever to swap gear/abilities. Awesome Guild store to improve the search functionality for the Guild Stores, and minimap, so I know where I'm going. None of my addons show me what to do when in combat. (there's actually a setting in game that does that for you.)

How is gameplay on a comsole (PS4pro in this case)? I use all platforms for gaming: JRPG and exclusives on Playstation and Xbox - RTS, FPS and MMOs usually on PC, but willing to change for friends who only use one system. After some months of FFXIV on both PC and PS4 I was surprised how good the console control scheme worked, I barely felt that it would be better on a PC.

In ESO I played a few chars to max level (and stopped because of the §&%"§ Veteran Levels), but somebody asked me to join them for a fresh start on the console and there is the Morrowwind DLC coming...

So, besides no addons and less performance, how does it 'feel' to play on a console? Button mapping, accessing inventory/menus, muling crafting materials, load times, triggering skills, everything else?

    Cheers!

I'm not sure about the PC version and it's master game play. I play this on console and while it's certainly not as pretty (depending on your rig) it's certainly mechanically sound. Also: Not sure if you're aware, but FFXIV is cross platform for PC, PS3 & PS4 users.
