Cool. Now post your videos of 1v1 kodi or fengrush. Youll quickly see how inferior a mageblade is to a good Stam dk or Stam sorc lol.

Regarding the MR... the whole reason I won the fight against Tay is because I was using drain magicka poisons. I rather not use those. but I run in to too many folks using those... so I feel like I have to use it too.

Yep that was me @OdinForge

I stated in another thread, we dueled maybe 13 times and i never won a match. I didnt have the mag to keep wings up and swallow soul just made him unkillable. Dont get me started on that destro ult. . . .

I learned a lot and Calvary was a good sport. Im glad i had this opportunity to duel with him. Real good guy.

Just to add. The fights were much longer. the video only showed the last parts. The fights with Rick were to most fun!

Also, magblades are like unicorns. so lots of folks did not have the opportunity to fight one and get used to their play style.

Things to consider for next patch:
-Heavy armor with just healing ward will be pretty much unviable since it becomes a big shield only when at very low health and the lack of magicka return of the new SA + lack of cost reduction cp + lack of cost reduction of heavy armor will pretty most push us to fight in light armor + dampen/harness.
-The block flickering will be gone too since the new SA doesn't provide 1-3k stamina return like before, you can change this by giving up flame staff but....we already hit for so little and its all dodgeable...

Yeh gona have to agree with you. Can confirm in PTS the heavy armor sustain is bad, so bad in fact that you have to heavy attack after every 2nd burst so that you can sort of manage your resources. and given how fast paced the BGs are... its definitely something new to get used to.

However its not that bad, what's bad is that now you have to sacrifice damage in order to add stam recovery. and no way in heck you can block or dodge ... only use the stam for brake free and that's it. unless you swap to ice staff.

what I am hoping is with overall damage reduction maybe I can swap to light armor and sort of manage with 1 shield only. I am not sure tho.

if I run 5 necro and 5 shaklebraker and 2 skoria (sword an shield build). it might work,.. but I like ma destro Staff!

Since those duels, i put on one more piece of heavy so 5 med and 2 heavy and i added a 5pc sustain set. I also started using Dragon Leap over dawnbreaker based off the suggestion from @Boozdog

You have your fear combo going pretty good so why not slot meteor?

Cheaper, more burst, more passives, and you won't have to feel cheesy for using EotS on one guy?
Maybe this is your open world build that you just happened to duel people with? If that's the case, a zerg or the targets buddies would have run you over considering how long it takes to take down your target.

I appreciate you fighting the good for for magblades, but I'm over it. Maybe I am part of the problem why they keep getting nerfed, so I think I'll play sorc now and see if I can start the nerf train on that one. (If ZOS sees no one playing nightblade anymore they'll only have 2 options, delete the class or buff it. #nightbladeriot2017)

Not sure why you'd choose 5 medium over 5+ heavy right now, magnb (or any magicka class) will have no problem cutting through medium armor. In the video you were on the defensive almost the entire fight, and the magnb barely dented his resources. It doesn't matter how nice you get your stats to look with a medium armor build, if you can't transition from defense to offense.

Open world build. Sloted incap on the later fights with rick. EOTS is good when 1vX, however most of the 1vX was against low lvls so i did not upload that part based on the prior feedback.

idk man, partly because i know 5 heavy isnt going to be sustainable next patch and partly because i just dont feel like i do as much damage without it.

in these videos im wearing 5 hundings, 3 agil, 1 veli, 1 bloodspawn, 1 vampire's kiss (rando weapon cuz no vma) x6 medium 1 heavy

now we can all agree that isnt what most stam dk's wear. i mean, its stacking weapon dmg obviously but its not THE meta. i refuse to play the viper's/selene's/tremor/fury meta so im by default a bit gimped.

but im still finding my own in pvp land. on one hand i really like the large scale battles. on the other, dueling is like, most of my in between time. but lastly, lately ive been going into cyrodiil with 3-9 - 9 being rarely. I enjoy the small fights and yearn for the large scale of old.

Also to be clear, I literally just ran into Calvary in Bruma. Had no idea he was its guardian. I just saw the flags burst and we went one on one. then i kept coming back 13 more times. because he was a respectful and challenging player. because i dont like to give up. because thats fun. and sure enough we developed that mutual respect and talked and he went over his builds strengths and weaknesses and it was really cool.

thats the first time something like that has really happened with me in this game. Ive even developed a lot of respect for Dubzug even after he teabagged me but you know what? hes been giving me pointers here and there and its invaluable!
