Sorcerers all over tamerial are summoning two scamp instead of one. Should this be reported as an exploit or is it another story to be told with nothing done about it.

    Was a bug a while back, if it's reappeared report them

    Someone read 'The Lusty Argonian Maid', saw a passing MagSorc and thought, "I can do better..."

    are you sure that they are not non combat pets? wasn't there a pet scampt in the crown store a while back?

    There is also a quest in Stormhaven where you can get a temporary scamp "pet". Add that in with the Stonefire Scamp non-combat pet, and a sorc could have up to three scamps active?

    A armor set from Banished Cells I (Shadowrend), gives the ability to summon a second clannfear.

    That's a 'shadowy' clannfear, not a regular clannfear but my Khajiit is not wearing that armor. This is a bug that happens occasionally......not all the time.

    I didn't 'try' to get double pets. It just happened. I relogged and the second one was gone never to be seen again.

    Made this the other day in another post. This is in pvp. It was also the third or fourth different sorcs doing this.

    In some cases it's a bug, in other cases it's a sorc with one summoned scamp, and a scamp non-combat pet that looks the same except for a slight color difference. If they're both light lavender, then it's a bug. Don't report them, as someone else said. You'd be reporting people for doing nothing wrong.

    It's officially a bug guys. His tank lost to a sorc in a duel, must be a bug.

    "Don't report them"? If they have two (combat) scamps active of course you report it. You are not necesserily reporting the player, but the situation. If it's not intentional I'm sure ZOS finds it out and nothing happens to them. If it's intentional, however, and they abuse it I'm sure ZOS knows about it as well and will (hopefully) punish them for exploiting which is against the TOS.

    I can confirm that it is an actual bug as it happened to myself, dunno how i did it so can't/won't replicate but i think i lnow the cause..

    This has been possible since at least 2015, I accidentally brought up two Clannfears on IC PTS once.

    Couldn't ever reproduce it, though.

    Its a bug that can be done accidental.

    But if someone is frequently got 2 pets they are doing it intentionally, its a bug thats being around for a while but kind of ignored.

    I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

    RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

    The "Take Me Home" quest in Auridon requires you to return a pet scamp found in Mehrunes Spite to its owner in Skywatch, so there's another possibility. This scamp has a collar to distinguish it though.
