What is this Nightblade ability ?

In one of the delves I saw a NB reduced a mob's (a single npc) health from 100% to 20% in a single move.
There was some stealth involved but I am not sure what that ability was.
Can someone tell me what that ability which reduced the mob's health so drastically in a single move ?

Delve mobs are insanely easy to kill and one/two shot for any class. Any properly built character in crafted gear should be dropping them in 1-2 seconds.3 -

✭✭✭✭Just stealth + surprise attack. Aka the backstab of eso. I'm 1 shotting people with it and mobs suffer insane overkills. Like 45-55k. It also stuns

✭If he hit an entire mob it wasn't surprise attack,,which is single target. (Come on people...think).
It could be several moves...mobs are not tough for a c600 toon. He could have gap closed with lotus fan, then hit sap essence. Done quickly the DoT and damage all come through at about the same time and can slaughter a mob. He also could have used his soul tether ultimate...magblades can charge their ultimates every thirty seconds. This can even wipe a mob of enemies in pvp if you catch them at the right time.
There are some other possibilities, but based on your description those sound. Like the best bets.0 -

in mmorpg term's "mob" can be singular or plural... the word mob does not translate to an actual mob of npc's its just a way of describing a non boss killable npc. if he is actually refering to "mobs" in a literal sense then your right about the soul tether ultimate only skill we have that can do an aoe nuke on weaker mobs.Edited by Tiitus on May 9, 2017 12:35AM1 -

But yeah, like the others have said a single heavy attack from stealth with enough weapon damage and physical penetration can easily one shot pretty much all the weak mobs better than a surprise attack.0 -

Mob in gaming is short for mobile it is a reference to a single creature/NPC which is reinforced by the apostrophe before the s in the OP.
As others have said if the NB was in stealth a heavy attack or surprise attack was probably what it was.

In terms of computer games MOb means Mobile Object, any entity in the game that moves, although it is generally used mainly for as you say a non-player character or creature that can attack or be attacked.0 -

✭✭Lol it was most probably onslaught, the 2h ultimate. Attacking normal mobs from sneak with rally and relentless focus active, you can get 100k crits.0 -

✭I used to have an assassin build created purely to be able to 1-shot all overland enemies (except bosses, trolls, etc), without being detected. It was fun. Obviously, not the fastest way to clear delves, but it was more of a challenge - I'd go in to one and set a goal of killing every enemy in there without being detected (and without using the blade of woe). Groups were harder but still possible.
Anyway it doesn't work anymore sadly Xd0 -
