Game Improvement Suggestions

I thought I would just bring these ideas I submitted as /feedback to ZOS to the forums for the community to kick around and add their thoughts to it for the team to review as well. I feel these items would be some good improvements to the game and I appreciate your time reading this in advance as well as any additional input.

I would like to provide some suggestions to be considered for future implementation to the game.

1) Regarding character leveling and gear. To resolve the feeling that level 1 to CP 160 gear is useless. Implement the ability to level gear up as you level by using materials for the appropriate level requirement to reach the level your character is. Example: You have level 10 gear and character is level 30. You would need (x) amounts of Rawhide, (x) amounts of Hide and (x) amounts of leather to bring medium armor up to level 30 from level 10. This would keep lower level materials relevant.

2) As a suggestion to crafting and furnishings / homestead improvements.

It would be awesome if we could craft gear and put it on display on a mannequin for visitors to see. Additionally if there could be a piece of paper / book that is bound to each mannequin that would display what each piece of gear is displayed on the mannequin.

3) An idea for Character "Mains vs Alts" and combining the terms.

I feel something needs to be done join the terms "my main" and "my alt" to make it feel like they are just your "characters". To do this I would suggest combining systems like achievements and crafting into your "account" as opposed to just your "character". For things like achievements be able to track overall 100% completed achievements across the account and still be able to see if a specific character has or has not completed a specific achievement. Regardless of what character completes it if it is done the account counts it as completed. Also would be nice to craft items regardless of character and not have to switch.

4) A suggestion to switching between characters.

It would be very nice if we had the option to switch characters from in game and not have to logout to character selection and back in. I realize a loading screen has to occur and that is fine but give me the effect that I am just hopping from one locatoin in the game world to another part of the world wherever my other character may be. Suggestion would be something in the ESC menu for "Switch Character" that would bring up all characters on your account and you select the one you want and then it goes to load the zone that character is in.

Thank you,

This should already be global by default. Even the skyshards should be global between characters on an account, you can't use skill points for unleveled skills so there's no harm in it. As for crafting, the only way I could see this being a global increase would be to level up the stations themselves, rather than the character's crafting skill. Would still require patterns and materials to level up the station but could also promote the use of new recipes/patterns for increasing the potency of the crafting stations.

    1. Should be costly so it is only used on something someone really wants.

    2. Not enough space in game for many to have mannequins. Though a good preview system so we can see what something in a guild store looks like or even at a crafting table or item in our inventories.

    3. The achievement thing is a dead horse subject. i like to see what my character has achieved and titles should only be on characters that earned them.

    4. Not a big deal. Have never seen this in game. Also, could have negative effects PvP wise.

I can agree that yea it should be default in the game and the skyshards may not be bad to include in that as well as you've already pointed out for a fair enough reason.

Regarding Cost of point 1. I don't see a cost being added to the mix as a bad thing either, would bring more of a gold sink into the game as well.

For point 2 regarding space, I can agree to this point with 45 styles in the game multiplied by the number of combinations you could have many MANY mannequinns lol, but ultimately ZOS controls the real amount of "space" we have. Also on this subject I think allowing us to purchase more home "space" with crowns would be a nice addition to the game as well, I'd buy it.

Point 3 achievements. Agree to disagree here. you either love em or hate em. I can see your point and I hope you can see mine.

Lastly point 4. This could impact PvP somewhat, especially if they made it instantly swap which is why I added the thing about the loading screen that would take time to swap and additionally for how PvP is currently setup once you log out (regardless of what keep your in or what part of cyrodiil) the game will always snap you back to your home base and then you would have to travel from there so you're really only gaining a few seconds to transfer between characters.

All good points guys keep the ideas coming :)
