I have (more) questions

My character is a Bosmer Templar and she is at level 11 right now. I'm trying to get through the Aldmeri Dominion alliance since I've already gone through the DC and the EP. My absolute favorite Templar ability is throwing the javelin from across the way and watching the enemy either face plant or fly backwards. That's pretty much how I start every mob fight. However, almost every time I do that, I get the message "Target is Immune" in the upper right corner of my screen. Okay.....I throw the javelin, the enemy flies back, and their health bar goes down. What is my target immune from?

Why is it whenever I have a companion, like Lyris or whoever, they are always yawning? Lydia did that all the time in Skyrim and it kind of drives me nuts. Is it supposed to be funny? I just want to scream that if they are that bored to go find something else to do!

With ESO being an MMO, I'm pretty much used to seeing people all over the place. I like it. But why do they all move faster than me when they are running? Does my heavy armor slow me down? Or is it some kind of effect that I haven't clued into yet?

Speaking of armor...what is the deal with light armor, medium armor and heavy armor? Some people swear by light, some by medium and some by heavy. Isn't the best armor the armor that keeps you from getting dead? To me that is heavy. I have a feeling I'm looking at it the wrong way. It just seems like metal (heavy) armor would block weapons better than fabric (light/medium) armor.

Thanks for taking the time to read and/or answer.

    Welcome to the game.
Bosmer Characters are typically stamina characters, If you look at thier passive abilities you can see that they regen stamina very effectively.
You will want to put all your stat points into stamina, if you intend to do damage.

After using a skill for awhile you will be able to morph them. Some of these morphs will change them from magicka skills to stamina skills this is the case for the Spear and Jabs.

I think it is supposed to be funny, I never noticed it :/.

For Stamina you will want to use Medium armor because it reduces the cost of your stamina abilities and increases your damage with stamina abilities and weapons. Heavy armor has its uses.

To move faster you hold down shift and it uses up stamina to run. Also people have horses which you can buy for 10 000g. If you feed your horse every 20 hours it will get fast and faster.

I think you might of double tapped the skill so the first one stuns then the second will not. There are also monsters that cannot be stunned for example the trolls.

It's usually some sort of CC effect that they will be immune to when it says that. As for the armor, it's the passives that you're looking for generally. In PvP you can usually rock all heavy. In PvE you usually see 5/1/1 for the Undaunted passives, or just rocking 7 of their respective weight. Like all medium on a stamina dps. Go under the skill lines for the different armor weights and check out the passives for a better understanding. The speed thing I assume has something to do with either armor passive or Rapid Maneuver. Medium skill line has the passive Athletics which increases your run speed.

    Fellow Bosmer Templar! Welcome!

I can't answer the "Target is Immune" question.

Lyris (that annoying tree trunk of a woman) doesn't yawn as often for me so I haven't noticed it. I think that is just her idle animation to like roll her shoulders and stretch. I guess I'm not noticing the yawning but now that you've pointed it out, I probably will.

To move faster than regular running speed not only are they sprinting, but they have several effects on them as well. One is a spell called "Rapid Maneuver" which is unlocked from the Assault skill line once you go to Cyrodiil. Even just participating in the tutorial should be enough experience to unlock it, no need to actually pvp if you don't want. (Try it though, it's not as bad as other games and it gives skill points). There are also armor sets that increase speed and there are other class skills and potions that grant Major and Minor Expedition.

There are no penalties for each type of armor, just a different set of perks. Right now heavy armor has all the perks you need but one day you might want to wear some light armor to give you better magic regeneration or medium armor to give you better stamina regeneration. Also, there is a perk called "Undaunted Mettle" that rewards you for wearing at least one of each. At cp 400 my Templar is a healer and he wears 5 light, 1 medium, 1 heavy. If he was a tank or pvped a lot he'd wear 5 heavy, 2 light. My nightblade wears 5 heavy and 2 light when he is tanking and 5 medium 2 light when he's being sneaky because you can spend points in the medium armor tree to help you sneak.

Basically you're doing great so far. You'll have to decide on a dungeon role eventually (tank, healer, or damage dealer) and that will determine which combinations of armor types you'll need.

Oh and never mind the "racial passives" nonsense. You can be a magic class and a Bosmer. The racial passives only matter if you are min-maxing with end game elite guilds that number crunch every little thing to get competitive high scores.

Hopefully you'll get answers to the other two!
