Eso Achievement problem

For a while the achievement problem has been on my mind. The problem is that achievements from special events (Witches festival, new life and jesters) are unobtainable on alternate characters. This bothers me because I have been thinking about switching main character but I keep rejecting the idea because on that other character I do not, and will not get the special event titels and achievements. Even though I am not an achievement hunter it is still enough for me to not make a new main, this has been forcing me to play my magicka nightblade. I know this sounds silly, that I am forced to play my magicka nightblade (main) but it is just how it feels like to me, there are probably other people who feel the same way.

So what I am asking of you is that achievements that are unobtainable, should be accountwide and not characterwide.

What bothers me is achievements that are bugged and broken for 6+ months blocking progression and ZOS do not care or see it as a priority...with NO ETA for answer on everything...

I have the witches festival achievements on multiple characters as with other achievements. Further. I expect they will repeat. At least some of those events. MMOs don't like recreating something over and over.

I've gone the other way with this issue. Other than dyes I don't let my characters benefit from achievements of another character. Doesn't mean much really for most game play but for housing it makes a big difference. I have a separate house for each character I play on a regular basis. Nothing can go in that characters house reward oriented unless they did the achievement themselves. So lately I have been spending some time on my Khajiit that skipped doing quests because he wants the achievement furniture from Reaper's March in his house. Later I am going to be doing the Dark Brotherhood line on my Vampire because I want some of that stuff for his house.

With the special event achievements I made sure to do those on the characters I thought it made the most sense for. I give each character their own little personality quirks just to amuse me (one never lied doing the quests no matter the consequence and dyes her armor after every dungeon run) so I made sure I got the achievements for the ones it seemed most appropriate for.

The problem is, is that I haven't done that. And for the warden, nobody will have done them.

    It's going to get worse.

The witches festival saturated the players in the things needed for the achievements, and that got reined in with the new life festival, and was pulled back even more with the jester. There are still plenty of cherry tree mementos floating around, people only needed one to unlock for the whole account, but that dubious throne recipe was always hard to get and was going for 100k even while the event was still going.

So, the grind will probably be exceptionally harsh for this next midsummer event.

Myself, I agree with the op. Some achievements should definitely be applied account-wide.

Why would a Warden want credit for participating in an event that took place before he came to be?
