Imperial standard quest is bugged

After reading the bug report guidelines i realized a list of bugs isn't the best way to go, so im going to list individually as i get videos for certain bugs I have been experiencing.

"The imperial standard" quest in the Imperial City Is broken. I have not been able to finish this quest because one of the portals at the doors will not spawn. I have had multiple try's, and have gotten different portals that wont spawn, and even had portals i have finished spawn again, but one random portal will not spawn to finish the quest. Lately is has been the north portal for me, but i would REALLY like to finish these quests. I wanted to before morrowind, but thats doubtful since its so close. Unless im doing it wrong, im guessing its a bug.

It is a bug, but i found a solution online (can't remember where or I'd give credit). Join a guest campaign. It means running all the way back in, but I found that it worked for me and then i just went back to my original campaign afterwards.

@Grahl ya i figured this out last night to, however there was still a portal missing in my other campaign, and i was on a different character, but ya thanks im deff gonna do it on that character today.

I have repeatedly experienced the same "bug," the North Door mobs will not spawn. I spent 3 hours on the quest to try to fix the bug, during which time I abandoned and restarted the quest twice, changed cyro campaigns, logged out and back in, reloaded ui, tried to change the order of the doors, and still the North Door mobs will not spawn.

I submitted a ticket and was told there was nothing they could do to progress me on the quest and the developers would have to fix the "bug." According to Google, people have been complaining of this bug for over 9 months. So, I can't progress my IC quest on this character and it looks like that will be permanent.

Pretty ridiculous, not to mention bad customer service.

Yeah, I'm just encountering this one myself, and I'm genuinely shocked a bug that completely halts progress on the Imperial City and has been reported for this long is still in game.

This is not one of those bugs you put off fixing. Good grief.

Regarding the workaround, anyone know if you still can't guest into a campaign that's your home campaign on a different faction? Last time I tried to guest into a campaign that was home for a different faction character, the game wouldn't let me, but this was over a year ago. I play all three factions, and since some genius decided we only needed three campaigns, that means each campaign is home for a different faction. Can I now guest in and try to complete the bugged door? (South for me.)

And, if not, does anyone know if the doors reset at Server Reset?

Answering my own question here: Yes, you can guest into a campaign that is one of your opposing-faction alts home campaign. Did it last night and completed the quest.
