Class and race choice for this pvp play style

I want to choose between two of my characters the one that suits best for a pvp tank that deals very little damage while using lots of crowd control abilities and some debuffs and survives being in the midst of the enemies with a big health pool, roll dodges, healing and blocking.
My choices are: An Argonian Nightblade and a Redguard Dragonknight. Which of them looks to be the most fit for this? (If none, what would be the best choice)

I'd go shieldplar for survivability, nbs don't have good cc.

I would say go with an Argonian Dragonknight.

DK has igneous shields, which scales on max health (and provides a nice group shield based on your health too!). DK also has talons for AOE rooting, chains to pull enemies in. DK has a self heal based on max health.

The Argonian passives work pretty well here. Stamina recovery is not that strong for a blocking build (though you won't be blocking as much as you think with this setup), but the amount of resources you will regain with potion use will be amazing for a max health build. You will essentially fill up both magicka and stamina when you use a potion. Alternate this with using ultimates to regain resources (Battle Roar passive), and you should not have any resource issues.

Roll dodging doesn't really synergize well with this play style, as you use your shields and huge health pool for defense instead. You won't have as much stamina (and will be in heavy armor) to make it worthwhile. Similarly, blocking is also not very much worthwhile, except to block CC, for the same reasons.

I should note that the Argonian resource return from potions will be getting a huge buff in the next patch if you have very little stamina and magicka (like this build will), which is what I meant by it returning all your resources. Currently in Live, the resource return is based off your Max stats I believe.

I have an argonian nb and a redguard dragonknight too! personally the NB wont be as effective of a tank as the dragonknight would be. There are a few tanky builds that you can use as a NB in PVP but I havent found them to be very fun or effective. The issue with a redguard dragonknight is that it will be a magicka based tank. you could have a stamina based tank with vigor and rally but those heals would be based on your weapon damage and stamina, so they wouldnt be very strong. Furthermore playing a tank in PVP is not very rewarding unless you are in a group. You can hold the enemy up to some degree but you will not earn very much AP since you will not be killing anyone. My argonian nightblade is a vicious death clever alchemist and willpower bomb build, and that is a lot of fun even if you are solo you can jump small groups and wipe them. As a redguard dragonknight, there are many stamina builds that are not squishy but still manage to do damage and get kills. If you absolutely must tank in PVP choose your DK
