Logged onto Morrowind PTS on May 2 2017 and all of my characters were gone!

I am very sorry if this has been asked somewhere already... All 8 of my characters were gone, and I had to build a brand new one. I've been searching for a thread somewhere on the forum about this but have come up with Zippy-Da-Doo-Dah. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Or can anyone let me know if this exists somewhere on the forum, and I just can't find it??

    I have not been on the PTS in over a week, but I had my characters when I first logged in.

    Maybe there was a reset? They do that from time to time on PTS.

    I don't know how long you've been playing, but is it possible you created your characters after they copied over the Live database? I noticed they copied players over from several days before the first wave of PTS.

    Since your characters are gone you're NA.

    Each PTS for the 1st 2 weeks the NA players get to test with their characters. EU are stuck with templates only.

    Since it's now week 3 NA characters were wiped and EU got their character copy. It's now NA's turn to test with templates only.

    They did a copy of the EU server this week. So everyone was reset. For NA players you need to create new character either with template or as brand new level 1 character. For EU players it is their turn to use their existing characters. ZOS typically copies every couple of weeks.

    Ouch! Thanks so much for the answer... Never really knew that. But I'm really happy that you can have all your characters now!

    Thanks, this forum has tons of great info. I am not really tuned into it, so it's nice to be brought up to speed by people like you.

    Maybe they were deleted off your main account!

    Did you break the NDA?

    No, I am sure it is the server copy. NDA violaters likely would either get blocked completely and perhaps suspended or banned.

    Due to the server copy everyone lost whatever characters and progress they had at that point.

    The NDA was extremely unbroken when last I saw it... It was intact - no pieces missing and it was just thrilled to be alive... I really think that ZOS would have let me know in an email, or a Lawsuit... Probably the Lawsuit. :)

    when they sent out the codes they did say that there would be wipes for the morrowind test server
