Everyone will still play, just like they always do. They have a good moan then go buy a nice costume.

Do you honestly think that buying a costume will keep people playing when RNG and lack of investment in long-requested quality of life improvements burns them out? Wow. You could work for ZOS marketing.

I will probably keep playing, but I will not buy any more crowns unless they are on sale. And I will probably not buy Morrowind before one either. (though I've been doing that for a while already, so nothing will really change)

How can I know it now? I have to try Morrowind (and the revolution in sustain) first, then I will decide what to do.

There is no "revolution in sustain".

There's just "no sustain" at all.

I'd love to be able to say I will stay, tough it out, and see where we go when Morrowind goes live.

But I can't, my last few months in ESO have been immense fun because of the guild I am in, the people I regularly do group content with; and most of them have spent the last week on the PTS and decided its time to move on.

Go look in the PTS forum, look at the mountain of feedback that happened following the last iteration of the PTS, look at how 95% of it was overwhelmingly negative about the direction the game is going.

Then look at all the empty platitudes (the more appropriate word rhymes with and has one less letter than flies) @ZOS offered about "listening to feedback".

Then look at the current iteration of the PTS. All of the feedback, and I mean every last sentence of it, was 100% totally ignored.

They do not care what we think, they do not care if we are having fun, all they care about is are we parting with cash; and the answer to that is no, I am not. I'll go F2P to see how much of a disaster these changes will be when they hit live, but by then I doubt there'll be anyone left in my guild still playing.

@Tandor we have discussed before the changes this game needs - especially regarding the trade system. So I hope you have some Idea where I'm coming from.

I am NOT one of that "small section of the community" nor do I represent a "particular minority playstyle".
I'm a guy that still mainly plays solo, I have a small group of guildies that I will do group content with, but I do not and will not PUG.
I don't have a Monster Set, in fact for my build (Magplar Healer) I don't yet have even 1 bit of gear considered "end game" ready, much less BiS. But I manage well enough healing the group through the content we do play.
Oh, and I opposed Crown Crates when they were introduced, I oppose them now, and I have never and will never buy one.

And I am still making a fuss - because what is currently happening on the PTS rips the heart out of this game and stamps it into the mud.

Two of the guys I regularly do group content with (Pledges mainly) can barely bring themselves to login right now, they've been on the PTS and seen their favoued build made all but useless - unless you are already one of players from the "small section of the community representing a particular minority playstyle".

If you are in that top 10% of players the PTS really isn't going to change things too much for you, if you are in the next 30% or so you'll have to make some significant changes, if you are in the bottom 50% of players be prepared to start entirely from scratch - your build is dead, your gear is useless, your rotation a liability even in landscape content, and that is just the good news.

Just a small FYI most healers in end game PVE don't use 2pc monster sets. Some use a 1pc for more max magicka or they'll go the master resto staff route.

That pretty much sums it up. PTS version of the game is just dead inside. It's slow, it's dull, it is non-dynamic, it has no vision to it. It's change for the sake of change. And it's not a small number of people who think this, pretty much anyone you engage in chat on PTS says the same thing. And anyone I engage in chat in my guild on Live who is in the beta says the same thing.

Many times it would be correct to say that a small number of vocal people do not represent the majority, but in this case, that's really not the case.

We know ZOS will not listen, PTS is just lip service for them. give it 6 months they'll have moved away from their current stance as they will have hard evidence from Live that it is not favoured by the majority of the player base.

I'll take your bet on that. The reward will be to see when you realize just how naïve ignorant your statement is, to put it politely.

Sure il take a bet on it, I mean if people were going to leave they would have done it already right? They don't don't write a great big post about it do they, I mean you see them still on the forums. Its just I'm gona I'm gona. Who cares? Just go already, why people feel the need to even announce it is so pathetic. This whole post is pointless, no one is leaving. Same shi different patch.

    All The Best

Have you played on the PTS including after today's update?

I just did (following the EU character transfers) with my magicka based Templar who's level 50 with 168 CPs. I only do PvE either solo or cooperatively, so can't comment on group content or trials, or PvP. However, I just took him through a delve and dealt with ordinary mobs plus the boss mob just fine on my own, no-one else was about. It worked exactly as it always does, same skills and rotation, same gear (self crafted, mainly Seducer, doubtless crap stuff purist-wise and definitely not endgame gear  ), same duration for each fight. A classic case of if I hadn't read the patch notes and the forum I wouldn't have known anything had changed.

I'll try some different characters including stamina based nightblade and see how they fare, but I refuse to get excited about these changes unless and until I have tested them out and found that they do truly rip the heart out of my game. Thus far I see no evidence of that for my particular playstyle, but I'd be interested to see your own feedback based on your playstyle assuming you've tested the changes yourself and aren't simply relying on what you've read and others have told you.

I'll still play Morrowind but I'll never go back to being competitive in this game. I'll just try out the new stuff, make some cash, and hang out with my guild. Until ZOS balances PvE, fixes the RNG, and minimizes the lags and crashes I'm just going to casually play ESO.

I started feeling bad about the games direction when they decided to charge for name changes. I stopped spending completely after Homestead. Everything seems like minimal effort for maximum profit with Zos now and I don't support that so won't be buying Morrowind. If the update plays badly or changes mean I have to farm gear for my 11 toons then I'm done. If my DK's and Templars can't compete with Warden in support roles then I'm done.

I hated the direction the game was going long ago, and have already stopped playing/paying. I do not plan on throwing any more money at ZoS for Morrowwind. Nor do I plan on coming back, as I see nothing changed about what drove me away in the first place.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

I've been playing less and less ever since they last nerfed Templars. I usually play solo (which I know is unheard of for templar) but without that aoe CC I can't very well 1vX anymore.

I doubt that is the real reason for my lost interest though. More likely the additional crap in pvp like zergs of EoTS and all endless sustain and damage from proc sets. If you played since launch you know pvp went from crap to good to crap and to total ***. So yeah idk I hope they revert back to before proc and EoTS but I doubt they will. Instead of removing that crap they just nerf everything as a whole.

ESO used to be pretty fun

Two of my guilds that were testing on PTS all stopped after the first couple days. And they were hardcore Raiders. I'd logon to test Dungeon content and where initially there was 20 people on PTS there was no one in either guild on. Went back to live and asked?

"They said what's the point?...Morrowind will go live, and we'll figure it out with whoever is left. To try anything else is a waste of effort.

I don't know yet myself. I'll see how much the game is ruined for me and my chars...

But for starters, I'll probably wont do any more end-game content... at least, not until the game is fixed again (or broken even more that I finally quit,) no point in participating in the constant-heavy-attack-to-regain-resources frustration that's coming to everyone.

One thing I know is that I'll quit healing for good (which was my *only* good spec, and the thing I loved to do) after Morrowind, I'll probably respec as a pure DPS and be as selfish as I can, since that's the way ZOS intends the game to play for my class from now on.

Luckily, now that ALL and ANY classes can heal, surely there won't be a shortage of healers, right? :*

I might even get back into it after a long break if morrowind turns out to be okay. I was getting real sick of the PVE only focus ZOS was taking for a long time, this is the first time in ages they have made any changes or additions to PVP that might actually turn out to be good. To be clear, I like PVE and PVP, but there is only so much PVE one can do before it becomes tiresome and repetitive.

I don't know. I've played since beta with about a year break between Orsinium and Tamriel without Borders. I want a game that was made for the players because the devs realize how cool it would be to immerse yourself and control a character in lore that you love. Not one driven by corporate greed and cynicism. For me that game was Star Wars Galaxies. No game since then comes close, possibly The Repopulation, but only time will tell. So, until I find something else, I'm stuck with all that's left. I've played SWTOR, STO, LOTRO and The Division along the way. They all have flaws or things I don't like. ESO currently provides the most enjoyment, but only by a slim margin. I'd like to buy Morrowind but I think I should be able to test Warden without purchasing the DLC, expansion, chapter to see if I like it. The Warden class should be a separate purchase from Morrowind itself.
