This should even be pretty easy to catch automatically.
Easiest would simply be to not include an button down in the inactivity timer reset.
You will log out if inactive, if holding down an button is not seen as active you will be logged out after 10 minutes.
Problem solved, it will not solve pc players with macros casting an ability every 5 seconds but this is less of an issue.

You'll get the low level offenders but not the more advanced ones running programs to have a group of 4 with pets running the same route over and over using a program. Kind of like how a car alarm stops the low level thieves but not the more trained ones.

Yes, it's to powerlevel a character without doing any work for it.

Yes, it's to powerlevel a character without doing any work for it.
And if they have auto-loot on they are collecting lots of mats and possibly some good dropped equipment, although their inventory would fill up eventually. But if they're subscribers they have the crafting bag and could load up on mats this way.

You haven't played the games for years then or you don't have a clue about what a bot is.Tamriel is packed with the "farming trains", Sorcerers mostly.
