Every Single Time... [Thanks Dev Team]

Every single time...

...that I walk off the beaten path and explore, I'm rewarded. There might be a gorgeous view, or a bit of clever item placement (like an artist's easel), or a chest, or a trove, or a funny book, or a backpack with a recipe/blueprint.

I've played since beta, and I have never lost the sense of wonder I get exploring this beautiful world. As a player who primarily enjoys exploring, I am tremendously grateful to the development team for putting in such an astonishing level of attention to detail. I am constantly rewarded, tangibly and intangibly, for doing what I already love doing.

Thank you!

Aside from falling through the map or other pit like constructs, I agree!

That just means you're being very thorough in your exploration!

Agree - this is one of the reasons why I insist on walking everywhere. So many wonderful little details and surprises.

Great post, @Rainwhisper. May the Hist embrace you :)

It really is awesome! I've also noticed that since they added sitting, I will just sit and take in the sounds and scenery. Mostly in Auridon... I love Auridon...

Agree wholeheartedly with everything that has already been shared. This place, this world that they have created offers such marvels in many and varied forms. I never cease to be amazed and at times surprised at the realism that exists in both sight and sound.

I have often roamed the wilds in Wrothgar, but the other day I saw something that I had never seen before. I noticed a white bear with her cub. The cub ran to the front of her mother, and rolled around playfully for a bit, then with a growl by her mother it scampered behind her and stayed there for a bit as her mother growled again, a warning to anyone who would endanger her cub. I marvel at sights such as these, and find them as touching as they are beautiful.

I do the same thing. I have a silly number of screenshots of me doing just that.

I agree completely about Auridon. It is spectacular.

The Rift, Stormhaven, and Glenumbra also have some lovely spots.

I thought we could use a healthy dose of it.

I was running around Tamriel, thinking about how much I was enjoying a game that the forms kept telling me I was supposed to hate, and decided to make a post to that effect.

Lovely post. I too like to stop & look around when I remember to as there are some gorgeous places - there's the cavern in Greenshade (iirc) where the area quest ends & its beautiful.....

And am ashamed to admit that only really noticed all the lightening etc going on above the Doomcrag when playing there today....can sometimes be too busy questing to notice. Fishing is good for making you pay attention but haven't been fishing for ages.

    Well done. Very refreshing. :)

I played BDO for awhile and BDO richly rewards you for exploring nooks and crannies. Not in like awesome stuff but with enough you want to explore. It had a whole different set of issues ;) So, I was tickled to come to ESO and discover that it also rewards the slow pace across the landscape. I APPROVE!!!!

+1 from me, the world of ESO is charmingly beautiful and I can't stop enjoying it down to the core. Huge thanks to the devs for that!

Me too! Every time I walk off the beaten path, I'm beaten by tigers, wasps, spriggans, bad people, hoarvars, alligators, wisps, trolls, and wolves, just to name a few.

    That's why it's called a "beaten" path.

I love all the skeleton placements in the world, especially. I just noticed there's a skeleton hanging onto a potential heavy sack in White-Gold Tower the other day, got a kick out of that. And there's some skeletons in Eastmarch (or was it the Rift?) who look like they had a bit of an accident rock climbing; you can find one on either side of the rock face. Nice worldbuilding.

For those of us who remember playing unpatched Daggerfall, this is so very true.

I saw a World Boss in Greenshade was changed to the argonian behemoth from Mazzatun/VMA. That was pretty cool.

I've screenshot a bunch of those. We should probably start a thread for pictures of the clever skeletons :D .
