Hey all! Thanks for reading.
Tonight I completed normal MA. It took me time to learn my class and to get the gear I wanted.
I know finishing it in normal is not a big deal, however I am proud of achieving that. I have been playing for almost a year, but I always focused on questing / exploring, until recently. I have finished all veteran dungeons, trials (in normal), I do some PVP... I just say this to clarify that I know my class and I know what I am doing, however, I will be facing the hardest solo challenge of the game and I was hoping for some advice.
I have already checked builds, but I am here to ask to all the Stamina Nightblades for advice. I would like to finish the arena before June (Morrowind will bring a bit of a sustain issue so I would like to finish it by then).
That's what I currently have equipped:
x2 Velidreth (both divines, still epic)
x5 Hundings rage (all legendary, all divines)
x3 Agility jewels (epic)
x2 Gladiator weapons (bow and 2 daggers, all sharpened). Bow is legendary, daggers still epic. (I am aware this is not an incredible set, but even though I have other weapons, for some reason I cannot understand, this little extra crit I get from this strange set makes it worth it).
(Note: I will upgrade all my gear to legendary)
I use the thief, all my attributes in stamina, nothing really out of the normal builds.
At the moment I have:
Bow bar: Rearming trap / Endless Hail / Poison Injection / Caltrops / Vigor
Daggers bar: Rending Slashes / Whirling blades / Relentless focus / Surprise attack / Assasin`s blade
I have 600 cp and my cp are all focused to increase dps (I followed one of Deltia's guide (he'll be missed!!))
My dps in single target varies from 20k - 22k (I never achieved more than that). In AOE it can get crazy though, the highest I have seen is 80k.
That's pretty much all I have.
I appreciate any insights you might have for me. Like I said, I will obviously check guides and builds, but I would like to hear your experiencies, from everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to reply, I really cannot wait to beat this challenge!!

I couldn't tell you about the best gear setup, but what I can tell you a lot of people choose to ignore and suffer for it.
Pay. Attention. To. Mechanics.
That right there is the number one thing you need to clear vMA. No amount of CP, skill points, passives, legendary gear or combination of sets will make it any easier really. If you dont know the mechanics you will surely die.... a lot...

Yup, mechanics matter so much! I actually tried the first boss before watching any youtube video, just for the sake of trying, and I killed it without dying. I got really motivated but the second one destroyed me hahaha Obviously, I was not aware of the mechanics. Thank you for your advice

Your best bet for beating vMA is VO, if you have finished all normal trials, you should go again and farm VO, your setup should be:
5 VO pieces (3 jewelry, 2 body).
5 HR/NMG (the later is the best) (3 body, 2 sharp daggers).
2 Velidreth.
1 random sharpened bow.
All gear could be purple, but the daggers should be gold.
About the skills, my bars for stamblade in vMA are:
DW: Soul harvest, surprise attack, rendering slashes/deadly cloak, resolving vigor, killer's blade, steel tornado.
Bow: Ballista, rearming trap, endless hail, poison injection, relentless focus, and a flex spot.
For the flex spot I recommend siphoning attacks, once you feel more comfortable you can swap this for caltrops.
You are going to suffer, A LOT, don't get insane.
If you have any questions, let me know.
Probably want to switch off rending slashes for siphoning strikes for sustain and switch whirling blades to the other morph (steal tornado).
Also, as a general rule, upgrade your weapons to legendary before upgrading the armor, gear is fine otherwise.
Also, you can switch in between max health/stam rec food, max health/max stam food or dubious depending on your personal preferences.
Make sure you have alchemy leveled up for that 100% uptime on weapon power/crit pots.
Stamnb is one of the hardest class to learn how to do VMA on but once you done it is one of the best classes for it. You should watch many videos that help explain the mechanics of each round. You gear is fine personally I saw front bar Vigor since its your only heal use blood throat for another HOT I dont really use steel nado but thats up to you also shuffle is really helpful.
Your gear is fine gold weapons will give you more damage.Fr fr Damage doesn't matter in there other than in round 6 and last platform of round 5.Just take your time and don't get frustrated and take your time.
Wrecking_Blow_Spam wrote: »For dual wield it's important to have 2 daggers and you only have to gold one dagger if you're poor.
Why one? The offhand dagger difference between purple and gold is about 30 WD I checked the other day.
Make sure mainhand and bow are gold.

Lmao ok never post on the forums while drunk on the phone.Blood craze so under DW its the twin slash morph.I was so off not even funny.Probably want to switch off rending slashes for siphoning strikes for sustain and switch whirling blades to the other morph (steal tornado).

I definitely need to upgrade my daggers. Now that the tempering alloy prices have dropped it's the best time!
I will try to swap these abilities and see if they work better for me. All my professions are leveled up 100% so I get the passive from alchemy, which is indeed really useful.Stamnb is one of the hardest class to learn how to do VMA on but once you done it is one of the best classes for it. Thank you for your reply! I have been told it's the hardest class yeahHowever I am determined to win. I will definitely check "Blood Throat", I don't even know in which skill line it's located so it might be an interesting find!

My first clear was with 5 body VO pieces. Mostly Infused and well fitted. Agi rings, NMG daggers and veli monster set.
Cheers!

If you want to complete vma before morrowind drops, there are two really good builds for stamblades that will make learning vma quick and easy. One called the Respec to Magicka, and another called the Reroll Sorc. Both very good imo. Otherwise, prepare to be very angry and frustrated for the next few weeks.
