I personally wouldn't go with spinners if you're mainly interested in vMA because most mobs and bosses don't have that much spell resistance if you're running 5x light and sharpened staff.

Elegant can be good for lightning staff if you build for it, I run a TBS/Elegant build for vMA sometimes and it's easy mode, 1 bar mainly, switch to reapply buffs. Mixed with the right CP allocation, off balance targets, etc, never run out of resources and still get fairly quick clears.

Overall though I would say your build is better than the one you are thinking of trying.

I am not happy with current gear and want a progression,

I can craft TBS and have Elegent, I am finishing VMA in like 1 Hour and 15 Mins, would it be better with TBS + Elegant?

My fastest clear with this was around 45-50mins but I don't care about score either and just do quick runs so I use the sigils as well. Make sure you get rearming trap for this if you dont have it already.

I think it would be worth you testing out since its crafted it won't cost much to make it all epic with epic enchants. Best part is you kinda get to look the way you want as well

I run lightning staff sharp, if you have vma then awesome, if not elegant so you can wear 5x tbs, 5x elegant and 1x monster piece of your choice.

Fire backbar for destro ult. Lightning ult still works though and does just about as much damage but with the added bonus of knocking targets off balance extremely often.

I put 50 in to crit damage bonus, 50-60 into the passive that boosts spell damages, 75 into thaumaturge or whatever for the bonus damage to off balance targets and the rest into boosting heavy attack damage since I'm mainly spamming heavy attack.

Bar 1:
Elemental blockade, liquid lightning, force pulse, hardened ward, inner light, meteor (I personally don't use it, just for the extra magicka)

Bar 2:
Crit surge, rearmming trap, weakness to elements, lightning form, whatever else you want and fire destro ult that is targeted cast, not that follows you.

Apply buffs, drop aoes and spam heavy attack. Throw in a shield when needed, force pulse interrupt when necessary and you're golden.

There are ways to optimize this, like putting liquid lightning on backbar or force pulse to add another sorc spell like curse or frags, but I keep it like this to keep it simple and minimize bar swaps since I'm on console.

This build will also be viable when the Morrowind nerfs go live since its already a heavy attack build and resource management is easy.

But as @Ohhgrizyyy said, IA would be a better alternative most likely if you already have it though.
