Totally doing what I said in my previous post.

Interesting.
(I mean, people spend extra $ on getting "designer" jeans instead of Levis. Or getting a Lexus instead of a Honda. Or a platinum ring instead of a silver one. Etc, etc, etc. Doesn't seem that different to me. They're paying for logo, or appearance, or "conspicuous consumption". Do the people railing against expensive MMO cosmetics also wander through life yelling about this, too?)

Zos are pushing the limits of spending up and up and up, They obviously pull a report on average crown hoard that people with relatively high game time have and add like 5k crowns to it and voila there is the price for the latest desirable.
But this is just plain nuts now. People said I was nuts for paying £899 for a carbon air feed for my motor....

People might have found the same value in that Island that you did in your feeder for your motor. Not a justification or anything, but different strokes for different folks.

See, I'm fine with high prices on "purely cosmetic" things... because they're exactly that. Purely cosmetic. Not required or needed in any way. Luxuries.
Personally, I think the 5k crowns for the assistants is much more annoying. Since they actually serve some function.

Cheaper than I thought it would be. Both my girlfriend and I are buying them.

I used to be a whale. I have 30+ mounts, and at approx $25 each, even those are absurdly priced.
But $160 for a house that is nothing but an accessory - that doesn't even help you, and in reality hurts you by forcing you to do more work to maintain and upkeep, is just insane to me. You could buy 4 games for this price (games are $48 at Amazon and Best Buy)
To each his own, but again, the entire game is $12 and the house is $160. Crazy crazy.

I guess from ZOS's persepective it is 4 times the value of Morrowind. Man has gaming just totally went to crap where you buy the game and even sub and content is still behind a pay wall. I have zero problems buying an expansion, paying a monthly sub but for all that i would like to be able to get the content they create by actually playing the game not crap like Crown Crates.

Not sure how you get 160. Even at full price of 5500 crown packs the island is $137 furnished. And with crown sale that becomes $82.
I get you don't agree with the price but at least keep it real.

So each crown is 0.727 cents
.727*15,000(unfurnished)= $109.05 USD
.727*18,800(furnished)= $136.68 USD
