You all do know ESO has built in Voice Chat right?

    Only on console. PC doesn't.

Wow, consoles have a feature that PC does not. I am honestly impressed.

If by a feature you mean we get to hear overly obnoxious idiots taking bong hoots and then coughing into their mic for 20 mins straight then yes, we got a feature they don't have.

Of course you can leave the channel... but it has to be done every single time you login. Most of the time is no issue... it just sucks walking into a place and then all of a sudden you hear screaming kids, people doing drugs, people fighting - or one of my other favourites "can anybody craft this - hellllooooo, is anybody there, I need this crafted."

So glad we have text chat now because it's eliminated this problem by alot. Since PS4 has party chat, we don't need in-game voice chat, it's nothing but a nuisance.

Ha! at first i was excited to hear there was a built in voice chat - im on pc. But now that you mention this, it sounds horrible. Maybe it could be done another way because having a chat system on server side would be optimal.

People use voice chat all the time on PS4. Maybe it's different on PC but consoles have in game chat.

The lowbies on starter islands certainly seem to use it like it's going out of style.

The only time I "use" voice chat is to turn it off.

All the guilds I am in have Discord or Teamspeak or both. However, out side of Group Activities, I don't see many using the Voice Chat. Sometimes I pull up a TS or Discord and see one or two people on in chat, sometimes there is a whole bunch in there (outside of guild activities)
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

A great guild I am in actively uses voice chat for hanging out, running dungeons etc. I tend to not like lots of voices so I only get on for coordination's sake at times. Like people, guilds are all unique.
Celebrate for life is short but sweet for certain.

I can type 45wpm but trying to out talk some pay-attention-to-me-i'm-attention-starved guildmate not so good at. Discord is what everyone uses. I'll stick to typing tho. Then I can censor my f* this and sh* that and not have to compete with some gloryboy who thinks he's still 12 and in WoW/Minecraft.
