How many skill points enough for a 'build' ?

Question that ive been wondering about...
My sorc sits at total of 130 points my build is done and i even have 5 points left now i see players with 300+ points but im getting bored of farming quests and skyshards now my question is is this enough? Or do i rly need to farm more and just place them anywhere
How many do you guys usually aim for also this is an alt i just like enough points for a build if i want to change build ill respec..

If your build is done then it seems you have enough skill points.

Then yes.

Otherwise, keep getting a couple more skill points.

Outside of my crafters, not many characters need a truckload of skill points, and I just work on them slowly with no timeline.

Well you should have class-, armor-, weapon-, and racial-skilllines filled, plus the guilds and PvP, depending on which skills you use. If you have all this, you may still want to put some points into crafting or another weapon-/armor-skillline. If you have enough skillpoints for everything you need and want, you don't have to get more.

It seems this question has an incredibly easy answer.

You only need enough skill points such that all of your desired skills can be obtained.

If all desired skills are obtained, then there is no longer a need for skill points.

They have no other use

If you are talking about skill points, for just 1 single build meaning....

- Only 2 Weapon Skill lines.
- All of you class passives.
- Only the class actives that you will use in that single build.
- All of the guild actives, and passives that only relate to your build.
- All of the racials.
- None of the crafting passives.
I'll say yes you have more then enoth for one single build.

If you are talking about Champion Points. Then I'll say if you are ok with not doing any "End Game" content. Then all you need is 160 CPs and you are done. At least until ZOS decides to raise the "Gear CP cap."
