People need to stop treating betas as a try before you buy or a hype builder and actually use them for their intended reason, but this is the games industry in 2017 where people will pay companies money to be entered into betas so...@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

Yes, possibly. Though 'straight to release' suggests that no testing whatsoever has been done before the game goes live, and that is most definitely not the case. Even if they do end up deciding not to hold an open beta. (Those are generally very handy for stress/load tests, but don't necessarily give the same amount or quality of feedback as a closed beta or ZOS' own tests.)@Saturnna | PC / EU

Now that you mention it I have to agree.
And thinking about it, this could also be a reason for ZOS not to do an open beta at all in the end.
Organizing one could cost more time and effort than the potential gain it offers.
EDIT: I wouldn't mind the absence of an open beta for once. Completely agree with @Turelus that people have been treating them as free demos/trials instead of doing actual testing, and I'd very much like to see this stop.Edited by Saturnana on April 26, 2017 8:49AM@Saturnna | PC / EU
