Hello I just wanted to have a general discussion about ESO in its current state. I want ESO to do something along the lines that runescape did and have a strictly old school style server. Honestly I loved the game during the imperial city release and I wish I could have kept everything around that time frame. Recently if I even play anymore I've become basically a casual pve player because pvp has become outrageous and is not fun in any form. If something like this was to ever happen it would have to honestly be soon since all the big name players are leaving the game and a lot of people are following right behind them. Let me know what you guys think.

    The game is much better now than it was during the entire first year or two after launch.

    Depends how you look at it tbh.

    Regarding the game in general? Yes.

    Regarding PvP Performance? Oh God No.

    I love that they released Old School Runescape a few years ago, but it would never happen for eso.

    While I think that it's an interesting concept, I don't really know how well it'd work out in practice. I'll explain. Not too long ago, people asked and asked for a non-CP campaign. And ZOS complied. However, months later it is shown that said campaigns are not exactly active for the most part. Supposedly PC-NA has a rather active non-CP campaign, but on PS4-NA it's hardly a thing. Do you get where I'm going with this? It'd be a niche thing.

    Yes I agree the game is way to young, but that's kind of the point, they have drastically changed every aspect of the game were a lot of players who played it 3 years ago don't like what has become of it, I hate having to relearn my class and gear every patch which is why I basically gave up on pvp, I know it's a concept that won't happen, the game has had some great content expansions but overall I end up not liking the classes as much, it's one of the games I've stuck with since launch i just think they basically try to restructure the whole game every patch and it gets annoying

    I think this game will be dead soon, as much as i love it.. I personally don't really mind the changes but I can see why others are so pissed.

    They are balancing the entire game around 4v4v4 and it might break it.

    I vote for a legacy server that is a sub perk.

    Spot on. Post this in the PTS forum so everyone can stop crying. This is exactly what's going on and why ZoS won't change anything.

    Okay yeah how it was around Imperial City BUT with the tweaks to animation canceling and nerf of proxi det.

    That would be perfect.

    Feeling the same way, if the "big names" are leaving they ain't old school. There are plenty of people playing from BETA and they very much state the game has never been better.

    I have played it in different phases and now is the one I have stayed and enjoyed the most. Would like to know if removing the CP is still in consideration, haven't heard much of it, I'd assume they gave up removing it.

    Old school Im thinking when Craglorn dropped and we bumped to VR10. Id be up for that, IC sucks.

    Legacy servers are an immense amount of work. It's very rarely an economically viable thing to do, especially for a game this young.

    The best platform I ever saw was the original Neverwinter Nights. You could build your own server, configure the game the way you wanted and link up with other servers as well.

    The good servers were very busy and very fun. Pick and choose the server that played the way you wanted to play, ruleswise or otherwise.
