Maintenance Discussion! 4/24/17

Well.. since maintenance's seem forever, what are you all gonna' do during it? Lol, how long do you think this will be? I finished a COA run in 10 minuted due to this making us rush.

Also, I thought there needed to be a positive thread because the negativity in forums is strong with all the people. So lets make it fun!

Hi everyone,

As you’ve noticed, maintenance for PC NA and EU has gone longer than usual today. We ran into an issue during maintenance, which will take some time to resolve. We’re currently looking at completing maintenance around 3pm EDT. This will not affect the maintenance scheduled for the PTS, which will also have a new incremental patch today.

Thanks for your patience, and we’ll provide updates in this thread as we’re able.

Im going to sit here and imagine a swarm of dutiful employees descending on the servers, unplugging every cable, cleaning and inspecting the leads, plugging them back in. Blowing out the fans, sweeping the floors, polishing the racks. Checking fuses and changing the lights, and then loading the new patch via a series of four thousand two hundred (or so) floppy disks, one at a time.

Wow floppy disks . That visual will take longer then the patch . Maybe switch it in your imagination with 1 MB ps4 memory cards so you can play the game this year in December .

So for everyone reading, what is your next goal with ESO?

For me, I've been a heavy PVPer since launch, however I am slowly abandoning it and going toward PVE and trying to get into crafting and been enjoying dungeons / trials.

I'm gonna finish my work-week, which ends at 7am EDT today. On my way home each week, I stop at the grocery store & pick up stuff for the week, and by the time I get home & put stuff away, it's about 8:30 or 9am, and unless there are issues, the maintenance is generally over by that time, so it's a perfect arrangement for me.

Correction, I just remembered that I do get out an hour early today, so it might be still going on, but prolly close to done, if it's about 7:30 or 8am...

...then I switch back & forth between eating, sleeping & questing til Friday afternoon when I gotta go back to work <g>

Well, it's usually a few hours, starting at 4am. so, yeah, you can usually expect it to run til 7am or 8am normally on Mondays, at least for the PC/NA server. I'm not usually home before that, but on the rare occasion that I have been, I don't recall the routine weekly maitenance being done before 7am. And yeah, I work weekend overnights, so 3 very long shifts. In the course of about 65 hours from Friday early evening til Monday early AM, I put in a full 40 hour week <g>....

Well, it's usually a few hours, starting at 4am. so, yeah, you can usually expect it to run til 7am or 8am normally on Mondays, at least for the PC/NA server. My husband is currently on similar long night shifts, his are spread a bit more across the week though - but yeah some days he manages to eat and get a bit of sleep between shifts and that's it, no time for any downtime - so I sympathise.

You have got to be kidding me, you've never used it for Randoms and been ported in then immediately back out again for no reason and had to sit on cooldown for 15 minutes? You lucky lucky person!

Thats what I mean, I get removed from the zone and then just port back in and still remain part of the group. I haven experienced losing players though.
