Question About Gear Progression

I uninstalled ESO around a month ago. Up until that point I was loving the game, and acquiring better gear from dungeons etc. It got to a point though, where I had found the gear set I wanted for PvE, which basically just required me to run veteran dungeons and do the undaunted dailies. I then upgraded that gear set to Legendary, via crafting.

After this, I basically had no need to run dungeons anymore as I had the gear I needed. Sure, I could run the dungeons 'for fun', but it gets a bit stale once you've done it over and over without any actual progress awards, apart from your Champion Points.

Granted, I was only CP 170 or so at this point so I hadn't run any trials or anything yet, but from what I saw, even those just give a specific gear set, and once I get that then I'd have no need to run that trial ever again for more powerful gear.

Basically, my question is, is there any other kind of gear progression to work towards or is this it, because I was loving the game but unfortunately I'm a gear progression/treadmill sort of person, which is why I didn't stick with GW2 either, as it has no progression once you get the certain gear set you need.

Thanks.

    Did you try trials?

EDIT: Sorry i didn't read, you've heard about them. I suggest trying them anyway. Try focusing on achieving things rather than completing your gear set

No offense, but that's why they call it end game. Basically you have trials and PvP to keep you going.

Sadly, this is a problem when players only do something because of the material reward. Equipment is a means to an end. That is it. It's there for only one purpose: provide your character with the enhanced ability to complete content in the game. In and of itself: equipment is largely useless.

It's sort of like money: Having all the money in the world means nothing, if you just have it in a room and stare at it. It's what you do with said money (equipment) that counts.

And thankfully in ESO, getting the equipment to be able to enjoy/complete content in the game with your character is exceptionally easy. As there are many and varied sources. Though this has in turn lead to your problem: the lack of grind. Many see this as a boon though, not a negative.

But in relation to other types of progression: Have a look at your achievements section in your journal. There are all sorts of challenges and similar there. Many can be quite enjoyable to do with friends, such as Assassin and Survivor dungeon achievements.

    Edit: Grammar/Spelling

If you can be anything, be kind.
