Lol at some of these comments

No matter what you do on a sorc is viable and yet every sorc in PvP runs destro/resto.

I can show you builds for PvP heavy armor Templar/DK/Nightblade. Show me a viable heavy armor DPS burst sorc.

I saw an AD stamsorc kick the crap out of a group of DC near Nik a few days ago on Azura's Star. By himself. Dual wield, and popped zero shields for the entire fight, so he was definitely wearing heavy.

Even a magsorc can go heavy in the current meta. I've done five heavy and two light in PvP with a petsorc build since Homestead.

Not sure how you haven't seen this, but it's a thing.

[I know, I know, everybody's pissed at sorcs right now because they got off so light in the coming nerfpocalypse. Nerf shields, penalize streak harder, blahblahblah. There's always a subset of PvPers who think all the other classes should just hold still and die, and some of them are having a really bad week.]
Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

@Teargrants Ran a heavy magicka Sorc for a while back when 1T came out.

I find mag sorc easier to play than mag templar. Use a pet when leveling up and it's so easy. Sorc really shines in later levels so maybe that's why some people say mag templar is better for new players.

For PvP, mag sorcs are quite strong and you don't need to use your third bar. A popular ultimate for group PvP is Negate. I'm asked to play sorc a lot in group PvP so I can use Negate. I rarely have a chance to use my third bar ulti in group PvP, everybody wants Negates!
Am a whimsical Generation Jones gamer. Online RPGs hooked me since '94 and no sign of stopping soon...

Personally, my first character was a mag sorc and I learned the god combo ( curse, force pulse, frag, endless fury) right away. I did not watch a build video btw. I just used all those skills since you unlock them early on. Plus specs have the best aoe setup imo, in the game.
Plus with crit surge and shields, it is really easy to take dmg as a sorc. I never die as my sorc.

Go Sorc. You'll never have to worry about your Toon getting F'ed in the A. However you get comfortable playing today will be viable in a few years from now, maybe even stronger.
Wake up, we're here. Why are you shaking? Are you ok? Wake up...

Hello guys, trying to choose between these 2 classes,
    1. which of them require less micromanagment with skills, buttons and stuff like that in pvp and generally?
as im new and will be having problems at start and midgame dealing with too many skills to use to survive

    2. as for gear, i mean mouse specifically, im using oscar x7 mouse with only 2 side buttons.
will it be enough or i need to buy smth like naga with multiple buttons?

As someone who plays both: roll a sorc.

I use generic Logitech $9.99 mouse and do just fine.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

how u do the key bindings?
    i mean
    - 5 skills
    - ultimate
    - button for potions
    - bar swap
well im new, may be there is more needed, but its 8 buttons for now.
i find it uncomfortable using regular 1-5 bindings, since u have to run around in fight and using default key bindings distracts attention.
