Just ran WGT with a CP600 DPS. I didn't ask if he has done WGT or not cuz I trust his CP, until we found he didn't know kill the portals. Now, CP600 could be a noob. That's why I said many time, double xp ruin the game.

600 CP or not, why do you think everybody should already done everything if high level? There are more than 90% of CP 500+ who never ever did a vMA or any trial at all. Please, don't judge ppl by cp levels.12 -

Exactly. Also, since when is White Gold Tower, or other Dungeon / Trial, considered to be the "game". There are so many other components to this game that narrowing / confining the game to only Dungeons / Trials is pretty restricting. In a lot of past attempts to do things, I was met with "well, you've never done this, so - we'd rather go with someone who has." ✭✭✭✭✭Eh, someone could get to 600 cp without the double. I didn't get too much use out of the cake XP on my "main" (I mostly did daily writs on lots of alts, and leveled a templar alt a bit), and I've got ~260cp so far. And I haven't done a single dungeon.
(Heck, that main is only halfway through Cadwell's Silver & has only done Wrothgar & Hew's Bane for DLC. Clearing the rest of the overland content seems like it would easily get her close to 600.)2 -

Double XP has nothing to do with it since OP has said nothing to back his empty claim.
Double XP easily has nothing to do with it since CP has nothing to do with experience in certain activities. It is really pointless to complain about double XP since every major MMO I have seen has had XP boosting events.
Edit: Considering all the complaints about low CP players in GF by a few players who need someone to carry them through vet dungeons it would not surprise me if some players avoid doing dungeons until they are CP capped. Make sense.
Further, it would also make sense to explain the mechanic to someone who seems to not know it. Have been in there a few times with random players getting their first clear. After explaining the mechanic it went fine.Edited by idk on April 22, 2017 9:11PM7 -

✭✭✭What? For all you know he could be a pure PvP-er or rp-er or solo player who just finally decided to give dungeons a go, being 600 cp has zero relation to having done content <x> before. That's like assuming I've done fishing in this game because I'm 600 cp. Nope, and not planning to either. Now the sensible thing of him would be to say it's his first time there and a sensible thing of you (given he apparentloy didn't say it) would be to ask just in case and try help him with mechanics. Now if he were underperforming badly, ignoring instructions and refusing to close portals, that's another story.
I don't mind players of any amount cp doing a dungeon for the first time, but there has been an amazing influx of absolutely clueless high cp players lately, that much is true. It's not double xp/grinding as much to blame though, yes they get there faster now but even if they got there slower they'd still know nothing. Why? Because there's nothing in this game to even hint to them that their build is ineffective outside of vet dungeons, vet trials and vMA. NOTHING. Well maybe WB but these are usually getting zerged anyway. So it's absolutely possible that the painful death at the hands of Planar is first time in all their players' life that they get any hint that alternating bow attacks with crystal frags hardcast is actually not an effective way to dps. Which is awful, but it is what it is. No learning curve, at all, anywhere. And don't mention normal dungeons, 4 people can pretty much do whatever there and they'll still complete it, assuming they had any damage skills at all.Edited by Magdalina on April 22, 2017 9:20PM8 -
Shanjijri✭✭✭✭I met level 10 during my farm in nWGT who knows the mechanics perfectly (probably an experienced player who runs a new character) and CP500 who discovered them. Level means nothing.
Even if you are with CP600 players, ask if everyone knows the dungeon before starting it.6 -

Rainwhisper✭✭✭✭✭I am over champ level 400. I don't pay close attention to it since it doesn't affect my gameplay, but I think I'm around champ level 430 or so. I don't even know what "WGT" is. My champ points have come almost exclusively from PvE, solo questing.

Zvorgin✭✭✭✭✭I'm almost CP 600 and there are plenty of dungeons I haven't done in the DLC's but I think I'm a decent enough player. I'd just rather PvP most of the time. CP doesn't depict skill level and it also don't mean someone was power leveled to CP 600 just because they enjoy different content in the game.2

You're first mistake was thinking that CP levels = good or even decent players, double XP isn't to blame here2 -

Double XP had nothing to do with this - Never being there before did.
Without double XP it would have taken him longer to be CP 600, but he still wouldn't know to kill the portals.

WGT = White Gold Tower, dungeon
We run it with tank + 3 dps or healer + 3 dps and have even run it with 4 dps bypassing 99% of the mechanics in all cases

✭I'm max CP and while I've beaten all the dungeons, trials, and malestrom on vet mode before I don't do them frequently enough to remember all the mechanics. I've maid all my CP playing PvP for the most part. I wouldn't judge someone's knowledge of the game by one dungeon. Some people don't run dungeons at all once my undaunted was rank 9 I didn't step foot in a dungeon for months3 -
