Is it a disadvantage to play the game in PVP with keyboard and mouse?

It is PvP, as long as you can follow crown, you wear broom and bucket and use a dance dance revolution pad if you want.

All you Naga users.. Do you have really long fingers or something? I can't for the life of me use that many buttons  I can cover all of them with my thumb, so pressing only 1 is nearly impossible to me

    Eh maybe a little
I use a simple keyboard and mouse, the mouse having just one side button, I can't imagine having a whole keyboard on the mouse lol. It would be so easy to use the skills though instead of hittingthe keyboard 12345.
    Hoping for more playable races

The Naga mouse isn't that big to be honest. Though I might have a large hand.

it hurts using a controller, i see all the cool 1vXes from pc and im like, wow he turned his camera 239797503750139741098410984108402384032850923850298% faster then me, thats pretty dope

When I have tried controller in the past, it actually did hurt, my thumb would get pretty sore after 20 minutes.

Tried a lot of different peripherals and prefer the Razer Nostromo + Logitech m570 Wireless Trackball.

The razer has d-pad for crouch, jump, sprint, roll dodge, ultimate button, all the abilities and WASD plus enough buttons for all your abilities and almost anything else. (mutliply the buttons x 3 modes)

Would be nice if this mouse had more than 5 buttons, but it's the only good trackball they are making these days. The shape fits your hand nicely and it feels more precise aiming with thumb instead of moving your entire arm

Positionals are way easier to use with precision with a mouse, and it's much easier to instantly target who you need to target with a mouse, imo.

I use a naga mouse. The last console I bought might of been N64. Or I think PS1. PC all the way!
PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

Do you actually hit 12345 ect? In most games I usually put anything I need to access quickly on q, e, r, f,c, v, x, z,1,2, 3, alt, shift, caps, I only use a few (m1-m7) mouse buttons as quick goto buttons, the rest are overflow that I tend to put less important commands on.

    Depends on the user
Depends on your reflexes. I find the game unplayable with K/M, but I played on PS4 for 2 years, so I have a lot of muscle memory tied to my controller. I constantly forget where buttons are on the K/B layout, and I find it extremely unintuitve to move with WASD while also using 12345 for skills. Doing both simultaneous feels awful and its easy to press the wrong thing. Combine moving and hammering skills while adjusting the camera and weaving light attacks? I'm not an octopus. If the game had mouse movement that would be one thing, so I could run and adjust my camera at the same time, but I just don't have the reflexes for being able to do all of that quickly over a large space on my desk.

I did finally replace my 7 year old Death Adder with a Naga I got for $30 new. So I'm going to force myself to break the controller habit. Some day. Eventually.

For this particular game? I'd say yes. Some of the combinations on controller just aren't intuitive. I get that some users will have it easier on console if they aren't PC gamers though. There are other types of games I like better with a controller.

Lmao! Troll post of the week.

Every time i watch videos of a controller gameplay, even what is considered "good" for their standards, i cringe at the slow reaction speeds, camera turns and skill execution times, or combination of all together. Applicable for any game not just ESO.

Framerate and lag is a factor for console players. We don't have it that great

I don't intend to bash on consoles, just controllers. Those things are too uncomfortable and slow for me.

    Uh oh.....everybody start voting No.

Or ZOS will see this poll, conclude kbm is "over performing" and "too prevalent" a choice and swing the nerf bat.

    Patch Notes:
1- Based on extensive test and research (viewed at least 2 posts), we have added a 500ms lag to look input controls from keyboard and mouse

But good news, this a buff if your reaction times were less than a 0.25 blood alcohol level inebriated drunkard. Once the new meta of more diverse controller usage has been adopted, we reserve the right to "buff" you yet again.

Now go on out there and play citizen! (*fun will be monitored for excess fun and perhaps buffed as well)

    Not really
Most console players dont use this forum, just saying in order to dispell this vote mith. Was playing on kb/mouse since 2000s in eso since 2014 march with pre order, bought ps4 pro in november and started playing everything on gamepad for a first time in my life, so conlsuion: for me playing on gamepad is soooo big pleasure after kb and mouse, u dont need to sit in position like ur in toilet, so much more control in any game (pc players think that gamepad have less buttons, i was thinking same but damn me i was so wrong, it have much more controlling opportunities). About eso, eso is designed for gamepad, i feel better playing on ps4 vs pc, especially since on ps4 there are a lot more people playing (i have both versions), no stupid loading screens, no unreason lags, no problems with launcher etc etc. Even neverwinter is better playable on ps4 via pc. If it could be wow, than yes keyboard would be required, its ui doesnt fit gamepad at all. So as someone said above, stop believing in myths about kbm advantage, or pc gaming future, and enjoy god of war 4 of utube :D

    I'll tell you this much:
I play on pc with a gamepad and i beat tons of "great" keyboard and mouse players everyday. Coming from console where people use only controller to pc where kb and m dominates I didn't notice any increase in skill or find any fights harder. It felt literally exactly the same and still does.

This is not really cs go or something where you need perfect reaction times and insane aim or even wow with like a million different buttons.
Controller is the same for this game.

    Wowee!

I used to use a logitech trackball a long time ago, it was so much more comfortable. I should look at getting another one. Only thing I don't like is I think they're all wireless now.

I hate how small mouses...mice...meeces?...are keeping my hand contracted all the time.

    That setup looks cool.

gameplay on kb/mouse is much easier, but less funny. As for me. Keyboard was always smthing for work, writing and searching the internet. For me it was always a bit strange to play games on keyboard  Maybe its because my first games was on consoles. But as for me any monkey can play and perform good with kb/mouse. Because its much simple, when gamepad requires more skills and timings - and reward is stronger immersion in the game.
Play what you like and do what you like. Im not pro, and not trying to be the best dps on gamepad, but Im quite good for all nTrials, vet dungeons, and of course pvp. Yes Im loosing to that pros that are very good with weaving and skipping. As for me - total animation skpping is just exploit that became a shittylooking feature for cheaters, nothing more. But some people saw a real competetive feature in that (what is competetive in fast clicking?)
