By he way: Deltia just confirmed in another Patreon post that he won't do ESO content creation past Morrowind and move on to other titles like Destiny 2, maybe Dark Souls etc. Definitely sad but he explained his reasoning and a lot of us owe a lot to him since he helped so many players with the game, builds, tactics etc. and is without a doubt the most well known and popular ESO player. Give credit where credit is due.

Good for him, already unsubscribed his channel.

So your unsubbing his channel just because he doesn't play ESO anymore? You do realize he probably won't even talk about the ESO anymore at all right?

Your supposed to support the person not the game. I'm sure he will have very good content for other games. Heaven forbid you may find non-ESO content interesting right?

Deltia, like my recently deceased father, is a war veteran, a father, and an all around good person. It's for those reasons I'll support the guy because it was never about the game in the first place.

PS: Deltia I'll be sure to drop by your charity stream tommorow and support the cause. It's money going to a good place. Thanks for everything

I don't even know where to start with this white knight bs. We're all supposed to continue "supporting" him even though he won't be plugging the game we play? What? Jesus people. This is how cults get started. If he ever tells you to drink the Kool-Aid, don't do it!

@Kodrac I don't know about you, but if someone offers me some Kool-Aid? It's going right down the hatch. No one denies free Kool-Aid, bruh. Nobody. :D

If Deltia will be gone, I will be gone too. No other game I played so much as ESO. The crippling of Templars for the Warden P2W class feels like a kick into the stomach. I wanted to buy the expansion to find more things to do with my 3-year-old Templar. Instead ZOS wants us to roll a new P2W class with the capabilities ripped off Templars? NO.

So you really follow someone that makes money with posting youtube videos instead of making your own choices, about what you find fun to play? Well, there is only one possible reaction: cya!

I'm a pretty casual player and I really only play this game for the story element. But I'm having trouble sustaining my Stamplar in really long fights and I have ~350-360 CP right now. If these sustain changes go live, it will murder my build. I am also extremely disappointed in the obvious cash grab that is the warden. However, despite this, I'm sure I will still enjoy the game once Morrowind comes out.

Yeah, I feel the same. I already have a hard time sustaining in harder content like vMA, after the patch it will be a lot harder.

As for the warden, I really don't care about it. I think it's an awful addition and a wasted class slot, I've no interest in shooting birds and bugs at people. It looks as ridiculous as it sounds. But I'm still looking forward to the new sets, new environment, dungeons and trials.

The unsung heroes are people updating and maintaining wikis.

I think we can all observe different attitudes to what I would call professionalism.

My job is my job, my hobbies are my hobbies. Some can make their hobbies their jobs. I'm of the opinion that my hobby ceases to be a hobby and becomes a job precisely in that moment that I make it my job. I'd love making money just traveling around the world, but I don't want to take pictures of myself and my hot wife and cute kids and share it with the world - so that's not an option. I would not want to sit around and write a book either, or dissect my feelings and opinions and or write guides or talk about the food ...

So I divide and conquer. I take the good days at work and the bad days at work and try to maintain a professional outward attitude. Anyone remotely familiar with working with the general public will know that a lot of method acting is required here.
And when I'm off work I enjoy my "life". That works for me for now. Maybe I'll go rogue when I feel like a midlife crisis.

I kinda felt I should participate in this mandatory political thread. Back to popcorn! :D

My suggestion to everyone threatening to quit over this:

Half of you (or more) are hypocrites anyway, because you supported hard nerfs to other classes in the past. Keep taking a step back until you can see this...if that means quitting the game to get far enough away to have an objective perspective, then that is what you should do.

But, for the love of the Internets, quit the drama and the whining.

 LOL! Yeah, definitely doesn't look or feel like a badass class worthy of paying for. I wish DCUO wasn't so cheesy, cause the plethora of powers in that game were a lot more diverse.

I completely agree Gomumon! It's like every time I post anything anywhere I have to do my absolute best to safeguard all my wording and logic as airtight as I can. There is always at least one person that will nitpick grammar or spelling if that person is not that bright. And then to find errors in your reasoning or twist what you say if they are more intellectually sound but disagree with your point. That is the real challenge but actually a bit more entertaining. I am sure too the forum moderators and all the ZOS employees who post on this forum must feel this way.

In another game, there was a tool-tip, in that game with a misspelled word. The game was imported from China so perfectly understandable that it was an honest mistake. But then the whole dumb forum community in that game attacked. But I love most game forum moderators they never seem mad and kill everyone with kindness. That I agree too is the perfect approach. Sometimes we don't need our minds to win an argument but instead our hearts.

Threatening to quit is not 'struggling'. In fact, it is pretty much the opposite.

Having played a sorcerer since launch, I know a thing or two about undesirable changes, some of which were cheered on by the same people who are now threatening to quit over the recent changes to templars.

I find hypocrisy, bias and self-deception to be interesting topics, so I enjoy reading threads like this.

I never celebrated nerfs before, although honestly I am generally new to the forums. My main healer is even a Sorc too these days. I love all the classes we have now, and when warden comes out I will probably enjoy it too. So many moves and counter with each class. Templar black ball cc immunity is actually my most disliked change. But hey there are good things about it too! Now on my sorc, Grelbin, that is also realllly high dps besides healer, don't have to worry about getting Alliance War purify anytime soon. Because when people used my own skill against me, the one I used on Geedo since before it could even be cast on multiply targets. Dark exchange is it called? I would be my own weakness lol!

So despite nerfs and changes we just do have to roll with the times. And if we are unhappy about stuff of course we are entitles to say so. If someone is beating up a little guy and then another person calls the police do you attack the person with the phone? And say hey they were having a fair brawl stop that!

Don't mean to start anything with you @Bramir but I just think the community should be heard, just not ALWAYS taken too seriously. I have made so many suggestions and some jokes and others, I think would be really awesome if implemented. So to each his own.

The most interesting self deception is done without drama or whining. When someone gets dramatic about a topic like this, they usually know they are full of it. The really interesting ones are those who remain calm, totally confident in the truth of their argument...their self deception is complete.

So yeah, I could do without the whining and drama...that stuff is fairly uninteresting.

The only thing that worries me is IF the changes are bad we are stuck with them for a month or more. If zos had a little better history making FAST tweaks after major patches I'd be more comfortable.

I wish he would stay, I do not know him personally and I do not know if there is more to it.

While it's true that he is pissed off about the patch notes, as many of you are, we also need to consider that he is a new parent, he has a wife and a family to take care of. I am sure the patch is the reason why he is quitting, as he says he will continue to play other games, but please do not forget that he also changed his lifestyle by joining a gym and I am sure that is also a big reason why he quits, as ESO demands a lot of hours to grind and farm if you want to beat vet end game content.

I am not a mother, but whenever I have kids (if I ever do) I am sure I will also drastically reduce my gaming hours, because I will have other interests on what to do on my free time.

I wish him all the best, but there are other streamers and youtubers out there who also contribute to the community and they will provide us with great tips, builds and guides.

They have made itemization so bad and intolerable it basically requires an addiction to get some sets that aren't even BiS. I've grinded with him (errrr bad choice of words). I mean we've farmed together and he's always having to try and farm these sets to inform the community about what works and what doesn't so we can save ourselves the trouble and hassle. I can't imagine how terrible it must have been to grind these everyday for as long has he has. I quit and became casual a month ago just trying for one basic dungeon set, I don't know how he did it for so long. I think his love for providing for the ESO community helped him through a lot of it, but what they did to the Templar to make the warden was the final straw. Deltia was dedicated to you guys. It's ridiculous to see some of the comments here from people that don't know how much helping this community out meant to him.
