That's like saying you don't want to play golf cause Tiger Woods quit or I don't want to play football cause Tom Brady isn't playing.

I don't think that is true... I have loved this game for 3 years now, but I too am getting fed up with it, as are many of my friends who have stopped playing as much, or even altogether recently, and that is nothing to do with Deltia, I don't even watch streamers
If you quit something, that does not mean that you never liked it, in fact this game has changed so much over the past 3 years, it is barely the same game anyway 
Pretty sure people aren't quitting due to Deltia doing so, although they could be doing so for the same, or similar reasons

I disagree. Having someone you like or care about playing a game with you is great! And loosing that can certainly make a game less fun.
But I don't think he was actually playing with him so it is a bit strange. Like your example would be.0 -

He's worked very hard to establish himself in ESO and is leaving at a time when the game might peak in popularity.
