Firstly, I apologize in advance for this post and to the players who LEGITIMATELY Achieved their in-game currency.
In addition; I also will express my thoughts, or disbelief regarding the potential upcoming patch. (Morrowind).

There has in the past, & more recently been a in-game GOLD DUPLICATION GLITCH. - Where individuals have been able to amass gold cap to its maximum. This serious exploit has been used in affecting, Not ONLY the ingame Economy, Traders, but in addition; has been used in a negative manner of manipulations in order to cause severe crippling of reasonable enjoyment for countless people.

Let me further elaborate. Explain.
1. The glitchers/dupers/cheaters; whatever u want to call them. In the past, & currently in the present. DOMINATE the in-game TRADERS & MARKET PLACE.

2. The dupers, have been using the Gold to coerce individuals in other guilds, to Cause Deliberate drama and fabrications of and against other guilds and guildmasters. Offering a Large daily sum of gold, or in some cases, depending on rank of specific individuals, they would offer 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 MOLLION GOLD if that individual would disrupt or destroy a guild dependent on that individuals trusted status within the victimized guild. The perpetraitor; would install an alt character/acct. inside the Victim's guild. The bribed individual(s) would often use a Keywordbor phrase which makes no-sense, just moments prior to the deliberate destruction.

I Guess the old saying goes "Money walks!" - also seems to apply in games as well.

3. The dupers, Are turning that Gold into REAL-MONEY! -- Selling it online to ppl. Etc.
The exploiters get unlimited gold, unlimited power in-game, and a reasonable Wealth outside of game. ALL for being a cheater/exploiter.

All this happening, while the HONEST and Legit player are having to PAY out of the WAZUUU for "CROWN" and for Memberships in order to Enjoy specific "Perks" such as unlimited Crafting bags etc. -- ZENIMAX os not really "STANDING BY" - The players whom they once thanked for "STANDING BY THEM" and on helping make this game what it is today.

@ZOS @Gina_Bruno

YOU guys are IGNORING your MOST LOYAL.
Even to the point that .....

DELTIAGAMING JUST QUIT! --
has New video released today.

Even ALCAST.....and others.... really expressing themselves, their thoughts, anger, emotions.

Even if You do not care about any of us. well, from a BUSINESS stand-point of view then.... Your Upcoming Patch, .... These Exploits, etc. Have ALREADY, & will Further IMPACT your SUPPORT/INCOME from your biggest FANBASE.

Good Luck Zenimax, and everyone!

This is truly absurd if true. If you have that much money, why would you care about guild traders? The only reason I can think of is you are just a d-bag to the core.

In all seriousness though OP... I don't think it's what you think it is. The PS4 market is not even that bad, our prices are a bit out of wack because we don't have the guild trader pricing mods the PC has, so people tend to extort eachother - but I've never seen gold duping play a significant factor in the market - either in regards to goods or gold available, or to acquisition of traders. (Atleast not since I started trading, I understand at the beginning it may have been different, but I was not a trader back then, just a humble level 10 scrub struggling to get through EP).

There's a much more rational, and less crazy way of targetting people who have (somehow) hacked their gold. All ZOS has to do is pull up the accounts of anybody over a certain gold threshhold, something unreasonably high - and then they can look at your account history to see any and all changes that have ever been made. They will be able to tell if you cheated just by looking at your game history. There's no reason to wipe everybody's accounts when the people in question are considered to be unreasonably rich - that should make them stand out like a sore thumb in data comparison.

The real issue here is that ZOS does not actively look or monitor for these kinds of things, it would seem. Take Dolmen rubberbanding as an example - it took like what? 8+ months (that I'm aware of - I don't know when the abuse started) before they sent in Game Masters to boot people from Dolmens, and even then - they can't even crack down on such a minor issue - they're in no way prepared to tackle one dealing with all the game's currencies.

Personally, I do not care as much in regards to traders. I Care more to the fact that ppl have fun, and enjoy what has been a great and amazing game up to this point.

However, those with that kind of money, they are having FUN in using it as a great power and manipulation. The power in knowing that you could possibly "squash" another guild by offering such temptations, the ... perhaps... adrenaline rush that individual might get from it. Perhaps, they are just somewhat bored, and wish to find targets, and have malicious fun.

WHY do Ppl do alot of things?
Perhaps... maybe, .... just because they can?
    idk. -- sigh.

Console economy was forged by duping gold and items during the PC to Console transfers. Why should duping mater at all on console now?

How can someone destroy a guild? The worst scenario that could happen in any guild I've been in and barring the guild master just disbanding the guild him or herself, which they could anyway, is clear out the bank as they donated enough for access. At least give some of us credit for having more than two braincells. We kick people from the guild all the time that either start being abusive or continuously post complete tripe in the guild chat. Yet here we are still here 3 years later.

Once the perpetrator has been booted, the person/people who were on the receiving end of that abuse etc are happy and things go back to how they were.

Edit: I think those sad enough to take the game so seriously as to plant themselves in a guild are those who are there simply there to keep tabs on the bank balance. They know how much some guilds are able to bid because the GM keeps the balance to show no money is being withdrawn. Even that's a *** reason because no one knows where any given guild is gonna bid, but it's all I can come up with.

Unfortunately, and sadly, I have witnessed it repeatedly. AND despite ppl opening tickets etc. Or proving it. NOTHING really gets done. yes, it is very sad. GOOD communities destroyed. The perpetrators laugh. Sometimes, brag using alt accts that have no levels.

Apparently, a new gold Duping glitch became available a few weeks back. Perhaps a couple months. Those individuals still have their gold. ONLY their Alt accts got banned. I do believe that the dupe may have since been patched. So it was rumoured.
    I am unsure.

    Unfortunately, many would, many have.
I guess the little pixels are more important to many, instead of a community of excellence.

You can say that but this kind of thing happens on all servers, guild traders aren't what they seem on the surface
