They're digital and stored on a server somewhere... that wouldn't be good for the environment with all that burning plastic and metal.
More constructively the patch notes are there to inform us of the changes so we can then go test the changes and give feedback to get changes of our own in. Stop crying on the forums, get on the PTS, do some testing, get some data, post some videos and let them see why it's bad.
If you can't visibly show them why it's bad then it can't be that bad eh?
