After the Morrowind Pts Patch Notes released I thought for sure the sky was falling; everyone was going berserk over the changes! I think that people come onto the forums and read the patch notes and see something they don't like (say nerfs to templar) and attain the mentality that "because I don't a agree with a few of these changes, I don't like any of the changes with the new update" and then they grab their torches and pitchforks and join the **** storm culminating in the forums ranting of the ensuing "Nerfpocolypse."
-I agree with Zenimax on the cp changes, but they need to revert the changes they made to DK's and some Templar skills, as well as changes to armor passives. Also, they need to revert their change with abilities scaling off of your character level (wtf?!). With the nerfs to cp already, adding this change would most likely create terrible consequences from OVER nerfing resources (VMA would be a further nightmare and trials and dungeons would have much lower scores and take much longer, as the dps would significantly decrease).
- Zenimax needs to revert their nerf to repentance as their is absolutely no need for it as well as the nerf to shards, as that was uncalled for. Additionally, I agree with the Major Mending removal from Templars as Templars could gain the buff with 100% uptime which is a little too strong. They should implement another way, perhaps in the restoration treeline, where Major Mending could be attained for a period of time (just not 100% uptime) so all classes have the option of using the buff and still keep templars meta healers because they would have access to Major and Minor Mending. Zenimax should also add a penalty similar to streak on breath of life to prevent cheesy players from constantly spamming it. These changes would most likely revive the forumPTS Stamplars from their imaginary graves and make it so Templar healers are still the meta healers, but still lessen the effects of some of their healing (in PVP it was way too strong).
-I don't understand the people saying the removal of Major Mending is P2W for Wardens (Deltia and friends), although Zenimax should alter it so Warden's don't have it 100% of the time. So far I understand that Warden has access to the majority of buffs in the game, but the way people are putting it, the Warden has the same capabilities as an emperor and is COMPLETELY P2W because they have access to Major Mending and they are nerfing the other classes to make the Warden more appealing.
1). I think the Warden looks op on paper, and I may be wrong, but I don't think it will be as strong as everyone says. I see the Warden as a utility class in both PVP and PVE. I'm sure there will be Warden tanks and DDs but I doubt they will surpass the DK meta for tanking and MagSorc/Templar for DD.
2). I doubt Zenimax had in mind the plan to make Warden P2W. I think that, when they were creating skills and passives for the Warden, the developers were trying to give it unique buffs and access to buffs that other classes don't have, to try to make it more interesting and then they kind of just lost there way (or got lazy) and ended up throwing like literally every buff in the game onto the Warden.
3.) Even if the Warden is a little op a launch, people need to realize that the Warden is not immune to the nerf hammer (when Wardens gets nerfed I doubt everyone would be saying its "P2W") and that there have been op classes before in the game (ex: DK Vampires with Ulti Regen). FInally for people whining saying that sorcerers were not nerfed this patch: mark my words, I guarantee you, next pts patch notes will include sorcerer nerfs, most likely to dark deal/conversion and perhaps to address shield stacking.
-I do understand that players will be annoyed if their favorite class got nerfed, but I believe these reactions and claims are getting a little out of hand. I think that when Morrowind launches, yes the Warden may be a little op, because its the new class, but I doubt the rest of the classes will lag too far behind. Also Zenimax, you need to buff stamina characters, especially stamplars, in PVE if you want to maintain balance and diversity in the PVE setting. Furthermore, everyone should wait until the pts is revealed and the theorycrafters have run the numbers so we can really see if Warden is "P2W" Also, who knows, perhaps the new sets will address the resource issues of next patch by having strong 5 piece recovery stats.
NOW, if these pts patch notes stay as is with a couple days, maybe a week, until the Morrowind launch, then yes I would go riot and complain on the forums as that would be complete bs, but until then, stop acting like its Armageddon, and learn to adapt to change.
