Why nerf Nightblades to the ground in PVP? (Morrowind Patchnotes)

Theoldsalem
Nightblades are assassins. This is a assasin class . So why take away the extra crit bonus from stealth? By doing this you take away what makes the nightblade a nightblade. If anything remove all stuns from stealth and leave the upfront crit damage but give it a 10 second cool down before you can crit from stealth again. Im set up for max damage and cannot one hit anyone from stealth. I might get them down to 70% but i have to fight it out the rest. Im not built for sustain if i fight someone who is, i have to run away. Nightblades are supposed to be sneaky and fast in stealth pop up fight run away but it seems after reading the patch notes we will be forced to just run a 2 handed or stack shields with a destruction staff wearing necro. By implementing these changes you will remove a playstyle from the game. Its not like nightblades are tanking 20 people at once for 15 minutes. If someone is wearing full inpen and radiant magelight you can barely dent their health from stealth. If someone is wearing a shield you can barely knock it down halfway from stealth just for them to re shield. True, you can burst down squishy players but it's pvp and thats what nightblades do and i get bursted by any class if they fully buff up and im just standing there, but if its a tank you are not doing anything to them. Nightblades have no class heals or shields that are very useful in pvp. You can hardly sit there and fight with anyone because you run out of resources. I really hope they change their mind on these changes because removing the crit damage bonus from stealth literally makes the class boring. I love this game but if these patches go through i will probably cancel my subscription and play casually considering there are more important things that could be fixed. Please stop making all the classes the same. We like diversity MAKE ESO GREAT AGAIN.

Because theyre genuinely stupid and im seriously questioning if ANY of them play a nightblade especially a magicka one

Its like theyre just raging because theyve been ganked a few times but the class itself is terrible after the 4th second of the fight onwards

Cuz NBs can 1 shot wardens' bear and it would show warden bad.

This game isnt about solo play. You must roll in a zerg and spam light bow attacks.

I play mag blade in pvp and trust me i can only kill half the people i encounter because of all the cancer builds. When i see another nightblade i get happy because i know i can kill them. They are nerfing the weakest class in pvp to be completely irrelevant.

    For magblade of you wear
    Vicious death
    Clever alchemist
    Willpower

You are good at bombing, and can kill people with less than 20k health.

    Same set with a sorc

You can destroy entire zergs with 3 skills.

Keep in mind this does not only affect Nightblades, it's anyone who wants to gank in PVP:

Sneak attacks no longer grant a bonus to Critical Damage when used against other players. Sneak attacks will continue to guarantee a Critical Strike and stun the target, and will also still grant a bonus to Critical Damage when used against monsters.

What I don't fully understand is whether this is referring to the crouching flanking sneak modifier (which is very high and ends up around 300% damage and requires that you be crouching + behind the target), or regular sneak attack which results in around 150%.

To clarify, if you are using dark cloak/shadowy disguise or invis potion, I believe it is impossible to land the flanking sneak attack. I think you must be not invisible and crouching behind the target. Either way, Radiant Magelight cuts the damage in half and prevents the stun

Yea i hear you bro, things are gonna require changes. Overall im glad to hear about the sustain issues being addressed, and theres just a few things we will have to wait and see

Templars i think will be okay
Wardens will be OP unless aaddressed before live
Sneak damage racial passivez, still unclear if these are affected.
Sorcs are going to be master class

I have a tough time with skilled sorcs, but im okay with having a master class as long as killing them is not unrealistic.

Nightblades will be a struggle, my stamblade already struggles balancing regen and health, so ill need to reduce damage to keep up

Magblade bomber will be tougher if not impossible theoretically but hopefully the lower heals and more squishiness will help... we will see.

Dragonknight life might be olay with current setup, they nerfed everything i dont rely on

Im waiting to hear if khajit and bosmer passives still affect players or not.

Not just NB's. Why touch any of the class skills. Those and the racial paasives are what make diversity in the game. I get they want there new warden to be highlighted. But I think enough people are excited about the new class that there is no need to *** with the existing classes.

I'm still going to play my BowBlade like always. I'll adjust and find away to drop wardens and their little bears to!

I believe they increase your weapon damage while stealthed or invisible, so they won't be affected.

LOL if they're terrible zergs sure. You really think its that easy to bomb a barrier stacking + 3 remembrance users zerg with combat frenzy constantly pushing their ults up to 100% uptime? If you think you can bomb that efficiently alone go ahead, but im telling you, it wont work out for you at all.

if you think its that easy you have no clue hah.

Could be, not sure theres any way to test on console except removing all skills maybe?

Plus side im happy for all the buff counters being available lol

They are hard to spot, but here is an epic screenshot I took of two nightblades in a bloody battle to the death in Cyrodiil the other day
