IMO the current CP System has caused this

First, This is just my opinion on what is going on with the game.

Zos has done nothing but every update allow players to keep increasing basic passive stats which is the CP system after you already basically leveled your character up. I said a year ago they need to stop increasing the CP CAP because everybody is turning into Superheroes when they reach Max CP. So many players were very upset when they were only going to add 30 CP every quarter and players were like, "well i earned my CP i deserve to use it all or much more than only 30 CP per quarter." That would have been a horrible decision and with the constant increase you got what you wished for with this result in huge nerfs. In another year and a half when people get to 780 CP and more OP sets, guess what? More nerfs are incoming in a major way if the current system continues. Anybody that knew what was actually happening besides the players who just wanted to become more and more powerful at the cost of the game knew it was inevitable this would be the result.

Also Vet dungeons were originally designed for Vet1 players and above which is now CP1 and above. How in world are you suppose to effectively balance them even with a CP160 player and a player who will eventually be over 700, 800 CP in todays game. Well for a 700 CP player which is coming, the only way to balance dungeon is to hit the nerf hammer because at that point they are too easy for so many players. Well this now makes it very very hard for the average lower CP player with the nerfs to complete dungeons. Personally i think they should have capped CP at 160 which is the gear cap or just not have it in the game. This would have made it easier to balance IMO.

You best believe if they keep allowing the power creep to continue then another big nerf hammer will happen or they will just buff all the mobs, dungeons, trials in the game. This CP system needs to be scrapped or maybe completely redesigned and i think finally many people are starting to see this.

Again, this is just my personal opinion and feel free to completely disagree with me if you please.

Wouldn't be a problem if we'd stayed with the old VR system (personally was opposed to the change) but no the community kept saying they wanted the change, that VR was too much of a grind (just swapped one for another imo). You could say they brought this upon themselves.
As you say they should have just capped CP and kept it capped, problem is then people feel like there is no progression so they give us more CP points which make you stronger and then take that strength away with the nerf hammer. They did it with the last patch and now there going to do it again, extra 30 CP points and major nerfs!

Which is so dumb. If they just wanted to remove the grind, they could make veteran ranks account wide (Kinda like CP) and whenever a character hits level 50 - he gets whichever is the highest veteran rank among other characters of that account.
No, ZOS WANTED to have more grind. People never asked to be outleveling all content and getting nerfed.

It wasn't Zos that wanted the grind removed it was the community, the community asked for the CP system.

I bet a lot of them regret that now.

Ive played games where you just keep getting more and more powerful forever that did not result in this sort of outcome.

Account wide Veteran Ranks would have been the better option.

That's not actually true. Originally vet dungeons were designed for either vet 5 or vet 10 - Fungal, Spindle and Banished for vet 5, Elden, Wayrest and Darkshade for vet 10. Then I think they made dungeons scale to groupleader but it took them a while. I honestly don't remember what levels CoH and CoA were when they came out, I think it was whatever was the highest atm...vet 12? God that was so long ago haha.

The dungeons have gone through so many nerfs and buffs that now comparing them to what they were at launch is nigh impossible. 1.5 dungeons were crazy buffed, I loved it. I ran them with players who pretty much perma lived in dungeons and we STILL struggled in Spindle and Banished. Then they were nerfed again. And on top of all that the cp are definitely giving players an edge yes, but generally most dungeons are nerfed to the ground now.

SotH I believe has been balanced for 600 cp and it's good where it's at. I suppose that might be Zeni's plan now, slowly increase cap, introduce some new content balanced for that cap, hit things with nerfhammer as things begin to get out of hand. There is an issue because even with new challenging content introduced(at the rate of once a year) it's such a small part of the game 98% of which are ridiculously easy and only getting easier. It's also only widening the gap between good and bad/strong and weak players.
