OK,you nerfed the few decent worth passives of stamdk. BUT WHY THAT STUPID MAJOR MENDING CHANGE? how are we supposed to heal now? Stam templar got purge, nb cloak and sorc dark deal. Good luck keeping up that 3k shield to get a worth-something heal

Correct me if I'm wrong but won't a heavy resto staff attack give someone major mending?

Solution to all problems ... just heavy attack.

Right now magicka builds tend to be way better than stamina ones.
They are always be and they would always been like that.
    Period.

There's one very—I don't think there's a font large enough to express how good this—very good change.

    Heavy Armor

Constitution: Reduced the Magicka and Stamina restored by this passive ability by approximately 42%.

That could be the saving grace of this update—it honestly could.

You can get one shot in light armor on Azura's unless you shield stack. This isn't a saving grace, its going to change the game for the worse.

Damage should be high—really high in fact. I wasn't a proc set hater, I wasn't a sorc hater when they were hitting 12k Curses, I don't hate Destro ulti, I'm in favor of this game being all about hitting combos and bursting people down quickly. Nerfing sustain also nerfs damage because you have to drop damage for sustain—nerfing Heavy Armor makes everyone less tanky—thereby increasing damage. So yeah, my main (MagDK) might be completely useless after the patch, but I can still have fun with other classes (MagSorc solo, Bomblade group.)

I think some of the sustain changes will improve overall experience in PVP with champion points, but non-CP campaigns become more challenging for medium armor and light armor users (without big shields).

They said they wanted to make it so there is a greater tradeoff between sustain, tankiness and damage output. Unfortunately, after sustain nerfs across the board, medium and light still seem a bit too weak in non-CP unless you stack large shields, and heavy will likely out-sustain and tank, while still dealing high damage output.

Would be nice if they added armor pen to the medium passive and spell damage to light armor passive. The class shield of sorcs is perhaps also a bit too large as it scales off max magicka, allowing for a lot of tankiness + high damage output when combined with other shields. Someone posted in another thread the suggestion to make certain buffs not apply to shields like Minor/Major Protection.

I've been running around the last couple of weeks on all my characters with no cost reduction cp and it isn't too bad....But add in all the other nerfs and it's gonna be a nightmare.

There is still some cost reduction though.

I think ZOS is just trying to balance thing out.
Right now magicka builds tend to be way better than stamina ones. After this nefs/buffs we might see more diversity in PvP... Who knows...
    Well of course they're better.

    *looks at class skills*

Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Ooh, this one can be morphed to Stamina! Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Another Stamina! Woots! Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka. Magicka.

The entire skill tree for classes has been unbalanced since day 1. Shouldn't *every* skill be stam-morphable?

So just to make sure I understand. I'm going to have to use a staff on a magicka NB now? I really like the class skills for NB and they seem to go well with DW.

It's going to be weird having to use a staff for a sneaky/assassin in the shadows character.

Maybe they should make a DW line that uses magicka instead and returns magicka for heavy attacks? Or maybe you get to pick what resource your weapon of choice returns?

I guess I just hate using a staff, but some of the class skills are so fun to use.

No! Redguard is gonna take a huge hit according to the patch notes.

Its still better choice stealth is useless now in pvp so khajit is worthless

It's not just cp changes, a lot of ability costs were raised and all of the resource management abilities for classes were nerfed.

In usual zos fashion, they identified a problem and then went completely overboard on the fix, which is just going to create a new problem in its place. They aren't capable of gradual changes

I don't understand this, though. From my perspective, the game has precisely the opposite problem. Of six characters, the only one I really feel had adequate sustain is my Breton MagSorc.

Wait for the release. A lot can happen un till then.
Stealth is not going to be useless. You are still getting a crit and a stun when attacking from stealth.

Well I'm just a casual and was already having issues with running out of stamina with light and heavy attacks barely restoring anything. Very worried about these changes.

Ok guys im little confused why everyone's freaking out about the morrowind patch notes?
I wanna know why sure the 2 cp are getting removed and sustain will be more hard
And couple skills of couple classes getting nerfed but also buffed like the cost decrease of dks for example so unless im missing something?
What is every one freaking out about?
Also there be pts for pc players im console btw so if it rly turns out horrible im sure zos will change it then...

Lol zos has let countless bugs and bad design slip through the PTS so many times.

Go count the number of buffs and nerfs and see which drastically outweighs which. Then go look at the 2 pts before the current and do the same.

Do people honestly want their characters who they keep putting time into be repeatedly weakened? Because that is exactly what is happening.

When people progress in a game they expect to get stronger, not get weaker every few months.
