Confused on the nerfs rly that bad?

Someone wrote a post once explaining the psychology of nerfs. It was a word wall with an hour long video but I read and watched it all and agree with every bit. Why game makers think nerfs are something players want is beyond me. Wish I had bookmarked that post/vid.

There's one very—I don't think there's a font large enough to express how good this—very good change.

    Heavy Armor

Constitution: Reduced the Magicka and Stamina restored by this passive ability by approximately 42%.

That could be the saving grace of this update—it honestly could.

that's about it and they are just trying to flood the forums with their personal opinions

replace 2-3 glyphs on your jewelry with cost reduction
wear other sets than burning spellweave

learn to play to game instead QQ all the way

Stam DK not magicka took it on the chin the most .... seriously even with glyths just no reason to run the class ... nothing personal it's all math

Mag dk already struggle with sustain, they literally only had battleroar and that got nerfed.

Yup. Which is why I made the thread I made titled: "RIP Dragonknights". StamDK just may be dead, but I'm hoping I can cheese it somehow in PvE with my Vicious Serpent gear. If ZOS thinks I'm going to just let all those gold Maelstrom stamina weapons go unused, the joke is on them. I'll probably use my StamSorc far more than my StamDK, however. As that StamSorc has the sauce. But still. Gotta hope for that cheese. :o

As someone who wears heavy armor I agree with you completely. Then again I'm the guy who runs an end game PVP heavy armor load out with only 745 magic recovery. It's gonna be funny when I get nerfed to like 500 and manage it fine while other people will be losing their mind with "only" 1200.

    I will make it quick!

You can now delete your dragonknights and you will be refunded a insta lvl 50 scroll for your warden

Nightblades, well, lol, they are, how can I say it, you know now they suck well next month you will see one and you will be like oh 1k AP :D

If you are good at this game in PvP you can unninstall because they stated again that the better you are the worst they will make you

If you are not a very good player in PvE you can unninstall because now after 3 attacks you will be at 50% of your resources, tested it just like 20 minutes ago with the exact same amount of reduce cost I will have in Morrowind and a simple rotation of 3 skills in a Stamina character will cost you 12k Stamina so I expect it to be 14k for Magicka.

If you love TES series this patch will be very funny because the 90% of our future DPS will be based on who can spam light attacks, 4 lights attacks 1 skill will still run you out of stamina and magicka after 3 rotations so if you like trials and stuff I recommend you doing them all now before June because once Morrowind hits the elitism in this game will be the biggest one since WoW.

If your plan B was Battlegrounds you can forget it, no CP there, I can wait to spend 10k Stamina for vigor ( it cost me 4k simulating the patch notes) and 7k for Shuffle.

So what did we got from this?

Solo PvP player? Zose used no vaseline on you
Average-Good PvE player? Zos used no vaseline on you
Zerg PvP player? You will finally be able to 1v3 the player that has been 1vXing you with 7 more players since 2014
Elite PvE player? You will be able to charge 30-50M for a carry for the future raid
Casual player? Best TES experience so far because light attacks and heavy attacks are now meta
Small-Scale PvP player? Zose used no vaseline on you

Hhahahahaha you know what's funny that this patch note is different, you can only adapt if you are an elite player who perfectly knows how to use rotations, potions and anim cancel, fortunately I can completely simulate the nerfs right now and wow if I struggle with my cancel anim skill, using special mechanics and with synergy I can't imagine how an average, casual, or just good player will do, I really can't imagine and I can't wait for people to try it.

That is a screen shot of my Magplar from last night. I run it very effectively with only 745 magic recovery. I use a bunch of gear that rarely gets used and theory crafted it from the ground up to get 50k plus magic without even reaching Undaunted 9.

There could be plenty of diversity in this game if people were just willing to try some new things out instead of just crying when ZOS changes something they feel is over performing.

I somewhat agree but still think diversity is lacking due to mechanics. You're gonna have a bad time on that build with these new changes though.

"Bad" is a point of view. Templars & Dragon Knights were basically decapitated. Resource Regeneration via CP while hasn't hit rock bottom, went down by 40% of its original value. Cost reduction will be a funny memory. Skills in this game have no cooldown like other mmos (already explained in pst notes) but doing this, is a funny way of adding a cooldown, spam the skills too much and you'll be left without resources.

I can see the elegant set gaining some popularity now among magicka DPS, using that set with staff expert will allow you to save magicka for shields, and self heal, using only dot-aoe every once in a while, yup. Spamming force pulse will not be as healthy (if using Destruction Staff). Then again I'm just speculating...

I think ZOS is just trying to balance thing out.
Right now magicka builds tend to be way better than stamina ones. After this nefs/buffs we might see more diversity in PvP... Who knows...

People keep talking balance, *** balance, Balance is *** over the game.
Balance doesn't screw up games. Poorly handled balance is what screws up games. Balance is the lifeblood of build diversity, and without it, you get one be-all, end-all for everything, and every other option in the game gets left in the dust.

Although as far as poorly handled balance goes, these PTS notes are just about the best example of terrible balance decisions I've ever seen.

    The unknown? BAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's. Rich.

Warlord and Magician are being removed, as we know them. No more cost reduction from CP.

All armor skills in reguards to sustain are geting a nerf.

Almost all forms of class sustain are geting a nerf. With the notible exeption of sorcs and dark deal.

And the content isn't geting changed one bit, no lower damage, no lower health, to compensate.

Oh! wait I am dumb, I can't remember the unmorphed names of abilities.

Yep my build is dead great :/, I didn't even want to do high level stuff, I just need to be able to heal people behind me.

I like the CP changes those are fine but the Class changes are straight up too far, probably shouldn't hit the racial passives either.
Just do one thing at a time seriously hit the CP see how that changes things.. then hit other sustain if you need to.

I also don't know the stats on the change from stats to levels, I guess it makes sense not to give characters with lots of damage also lots of sustain and allows you to better control it :/.

Don't go through with the class changes.. just don't do... Buff Warden instead, I don't care, if you want money do it that way whatever.
You are removing too much uniqueness from the classes.

Finally an excuse to finish the last two dlcs of dark souls. They need to seriously quit with the nerfs and fix the real issues everyone actually cares about like rng, lag, trial crashes and balancing Stam and Mag. Then go ahead and make whatever sweeping changes you want once you have a stable game to actually balance.
