Idea - Combining Homestead with Guilds

So I was thinking, wouldn't it be nice if as a guild master if you could assign one of your homes as a guild hall? Then in the social options for your guild people could have a "Travel to Guild Hall" selection to take them to the selected property. I know you can use them as guild halls now but this would save having to tell people whose house was the guild hall and them having to scroll through the roster just to find that person's name. You could even make it possible for the GM to use other players houses for the guild hall if they allowed it through the personal housing options. Perhaps even add a guild banner to the furniture options that would look like the associated guilds tabard. Just a thought, but what do you guys think? Would this be a cool little feature you would use? I think it would be nice to have an official gathering place for the guilds. Gather together to plan events, use the crafting stations, dueling areas, practice dummies, and even throw the occasional party, lol.

It would be nice to have something that officially titles a given home as a guildhall but first id like to see the visitor cap go up first. I bought Forsaken Stronghold as a guild house. It rivals the mansions in size (very good value for money) but only has a cap of 12 visitors, half that of mansions which I think is too low in itself.

I built an amphitheatre for a dueling arena that seats about 50 and slapped my own head when I realised I can only have 12 players in at a time hah.

Ouch, yeah I forgot about the player cap. Maybe that could be raised based off of how many members your guild has? Kind of like the member requirements for tabard and trader.

What we need is guild housing. Homes that are specifically designed for guilds. Multiple rooms, ability to plant your guild tabard design all over the place as flags, increased player cap, bunk beds that could actually holds two people..

Things like that. Using personal homes as guild halls is ok if you have a small guild, but I know it must be getting hard for some of those larger RP guilds.

I agree with that too, I just thought that this would be an easier way to do it rather than them having to make entirely new areas/homes for guilds. Although very expensive, the mansions and cavern homes are plenty big enough even for a large guild.

On PC/MAc It's far easier, I agree. Put the name of the player that owns the "guild hall" on the guild page. Then on the roster type their name into the search field. Their name comes up and visit their primary residence no matter if they are online or not.

I think the biggest concern though would be increasing the guest capacity. I would prefer if it were a perk that a guildmaster could provide to a specific residence instead of making new "guild houses" some people want a large cavernous cave for their guild house, others want a small cozy dwelling with lots of fireplaces so their guild can RP it up.

*Is that a veiled dig at the lack of fireplaces in the mansions? Why yes, yes it is.*

Lol, exactly why I bought Mournoth Keep, one of the few with an actual fireplace. I will be buying a notable home for my guild, but I'm waiting to see what homes they add with Morrowind.

Still somewhat anxious about buying a "Guild House" in Vvardenfell.

I have a feeling that as soon as I do they'll announce Guild Housing.
